  1. On the Mariner we like to start our sailing with a Jaimes lunch to pour over the app regarding activities for the day. I suggest right as you board find your muster station and check in with your sea pass screenshots or paper copies. Now relax, head up to Jaimes for a quiet less hectic start to your sailing. Your server is a plethora of information, ask him questions while you dine. By the time you finish your relaxed leisurely lunch your cabin should be ready. Family time is precious, enjoy the family experience. FYI Jaimes is an extra cost but we would rather that then fighting for a quiet moment in WJ
  2. Wow! I'd even take travel delays at this point. @Lovetocruise2002 was treated to an amazing Star Class anniversary vacation....Cabash just purchased me a new lawn mower! 31 years and I got a lawn mower, yay!
  3. @OCSC Mike help us out with the storm situations over there. Yesterday here we had our seasonal downpour at about 1700-1900hrs. What is the timing over in Orlando? This might help @Lovetocruise2002 when rescheduling a non stop into MCO. Lightening shuts down TPA almost every afternoon leaving one stuck on the tarmac with what seems like forever. Maybe we all collectively can get her here with no more delays. The Atlanta stop gives me pause, so crowded and hopefully no changing planes. I'm so invested in her getting here, times like these cement why you always fly in EARLY for sure.
  4. No! It's the first flight out! Reason given? Prayers up for your next flight. Standing by hoping for the best! Wait Atlanta? Ugh, then what? Not a fan of that airport.
  5. OMG, that's Cabash yesterday. Cabash and Kiddo went to Typhoon Lagoon to destress, kiddo is taking an Honors Anatomy class as well as volunteering and working so a day in the water park seemed great! ( I had an old gift card so even better) They left early ( I stayed home) and I received multiple pictures recreated from when she was about 4. Oh she was not happy! They closed the park though, about 30,000 steps later so pure blissful exhaustion. But yes we do that photo thing here to, it is fun to compare when it's all over! Safe travels, have an amazing flight.
  6. The Dole Whip was a self service machine situation on the Disney Wish concierge sun deck. The line at the bar was to add rum to them. One professional I saw did make his to enjoy the DCL experience to the max. Grabbed that cup, added a shot of rum, then over to the Dole Whip machine and then a rum floater. That man smiled like crazy, he was fun to watch!
  7. Need, no. Hubby keeps his seapass in his pocket. Now, there are some very pretty ones available. I have several that I wear depending on my day. I have a casual plain black one for knocking around during the day or at the pool. I have four very pretty jeweled types that I wear in the evening to dress up my outfit for the evening. They are easy to pack and I don't have to bother with necklaces in my limited luggage tangling etc. They add an inexpensive "pop" and with my attached Vera Bradly pouch I can also bring extra money for tips, a few tissues and sometime even a small lipstick. I LOVE my lanyards, strange I know!
  8. @Lovetocruise2002 I knew he would prevail!!!!! I have a question already about the cabin. I believe I heard somewhere there is a secret elevator or stair case (uh, eww) for Star Aqua Suites to get to the Suites deck. I ask for feedback regarding this "tale" I am so happy you are sailing in that location, while it might be a little walk it's worth it for that cabin. And I promise you while deck 18 was nice, I personally totally prefer #deck 17 on the previous Oasis class ships. (My reason for choosing @OCSC Mike's cabin for my Utopia sailing.) Deck 18 (my week) did not have that "suite feel". It was a busy space and a bit daunting when the elevator wait was forever ONLY to be packed tight when it finally arrived with people from WJ in tow with plates of food, eww...everyone breathing on it of brother how I digress. The trauma of my sailing, lol!
  9. I for one have full faith in Justin (Mr. Sabrina) He can and will get it done with ease. You all should see his Labadee Bare Foot Beach Hide Out, it's fantastic! Plus no extra $$ for the real estate. Sorry @Lovetocruise2002 but my money is on Hubby pulling ahead in the last seconds.......
  10. We asked while on the Wonders All Access Tour. The staff leader of the tour confirmed on the Oasis class it is a crew area.
  11. I've only dined at the Hibachi table on another ship, I think the Oasis. How does this one work. FYI we don't eat sushi but the menu seems to offer other items we would enjoy. I think it's 30.00 pp what do you get for that? I like to know what to expect ahead of time, kiddo loves Japanese, but we can all do without the "show" Thanks so much!
  12. We have a system as well! The little roller bags stay in tact, the back packs are fair game. I do realize with every sailing, the more I cruise the less I pack. I still don't wear everything I bring and you guys know we bring the small luggage. I learned from @Lovetocruise2002 though & even Cabash abides....we pack our backpacks in a way that in case something happens to the main little one, we could make it work with the essentials. I always have Sabrina and her huge smile in my head while packing, she had no luggage but still having the best time. She was a great cabin neighbor! The @Lovetocruise2002 family emitted JOY no matter where they were. I can't wait to see this cabin....Let's Go!
  13. @OCSC Mike I just finished mowing my lawn, and I was thinking of you, lol! Actually of @ZBrady as well. Hoping he and his family are AOK & just got wrapped up in the moment & never looked back....which is so cool too! But Mike, I realized for me again personally it's not the time of day for my date with the lawn it's the sun. I watch it carefully & hit the front as soon as the huge home on the lake across the street from our perfect little nest is in the suns path, at that point I waddle my butt out there and get er done. I mow with the sun, as it rotates.....so do I! So random I know, why here I don't know...sorry OP for the hijack. Anyway to wrap it up, Icon way to big for me Oh, while I'm doing the hijack @Ampurp85 & @asquared17 I hate tomatoes, but I could eat salsa & pico for days....
  14. This was me, early day one of release of Icon with credit card in hand. I really watched the videos again and while looking at the deck plans for my cabin realized, oh no...this one is not for me. Add to that the time of year open on my calender to sail her, it gave me pause, caused me angst. I enjoy the Oasis class usually but this one was not for me. There is something for everyone, the magic happens when you know yourself and your preferences. Truth is simple, just because she isn't for me doesn't mean she isn't the cats meow for someone else. Different strokes....And I too, love broccoli!!
  15. @JustMeJoe and @WAAAYTOOO seriously, I live on the west coast of Florida the Gulf of Mexico being a hop skip and a jump away. You guys are onto something here, sounds like a ship day as well. We are in the suite with the bath tub on the balcony, this may be the way to go. Ft. Desoto Beach here is dare I say it even more beautiful then Coco Cay, why in the world I want to share the island with 12,000 of my closest Royal friends. I'm now leaning hard to stay on board. I could not in all good conscious enjoy the Island at those prices with that many guests, yes.....ship day it is!
  16. Even with this current 35% off sale the Coco cay prices are higher then that hot air balloon (when it goes up) on Coco Cay! The beach club passes are 290.00 from 310.00. The cabanas are all 1,600.00 on the island or more (beach club cabanas 3,700-4,000) Things are selling too! I can not wrap my head around that price for the beach club, no beach club this sailing for us. Off early and find a homebase on South beach. Reason being we are sharing the Island with the Icon. Ugh, talk about angst...that's a lot of people on Coco Cay.
  17. @Lovetocruise2002 I know my sailing was a one off! I have good feelings about your adventure and can not WAIT to hear about the wonderful Wonder. I'm dying to see the pictures of that suite. My RUB bid was truly minimum as in 720.00. So it worked out great between the two of us we have photos of both suites. I admit I am ecstatic you are sailing Star as the Evian (you won't have to beg) and the boarding will be much more enjoyable. Remember up the escalator, turn left and then left again where there is a desk just for you to check in with NO line. Remember tell them Star suite unless the Genie has you already, this depends on the Genie and their schedule. But once checked in turn around and head straight back to the Star & Pinnacle holding pen. It's very pretty like Miami with gorgeous furniture and a restroom, from there the Genie should for sure come get you. Happy Anniversary again to you and Justin, we wish for you a sailing full of love, relaxation and enjoyment. Ugh, I can't believe it is only the 13th! I can't wait for you to sail. I'm happy you won the RUB early....I told Cabash your bid & he said ...wait for it, Oh you could have bid that! Really, my head almost exploded, lol Sure honey, sure. Oh I love that man
  18. My 8 night sailing on the Adventure doesn't show the themed menu nights in MDR. Does anyone know the rotation? I want to book a specialty dining in place of our least favorite menu. It is not on the app yet. Night one I know is welcome aboard but what about say night 5? Thanks so much!
  19. Congratulations YES!!!! So happy for you. Please just look at my CLS pictures, it's like you were there. Better to ask for forgiveness then permission.....now this party is starting; Woopee!!! Justin, honey...ummmm I treated YOU to an amazing anniversary present on top of Star wars......it's a Star cabin!
  20. On the Wonder sailing a few weeks ago we were asked to order our main and then did we want fries or onion rings. Previously they just brought a plate of both to the table for all to share, we thought this was still the case so only kiddo asked for them and we said we would share. They brought a tiny plate and a tiny bowl with 4 onion rings and the smallest french fries you ever saw, maybe 10? So we asked for more and we had to wait a long time but then they brought just fries, it was painful. We had to ask a third time for more for the three of us. I promise you we wanted at least our 12.99 worth of food. Then we were told we could use our Diamond drink vouchers for shakes so hubby & kiddo ordered shakes. The receipt was correct at this point. This was our last sea day. When I received my invoice while hubby was driving home in our email they had added the cost of their 2 shakes, so dirty. We have 5 vouchers each and never even used any that day, this was the first usage. It was a matter of just under $8.00 so being I was off the ship I just paid it, I decided I didn't want to put energy into it after the sailing. Left a bad taste (pun intended) for Jr's moving forward. My chicken club sandwich was really good though, I have to mention that. I miss the upbeat dancing as well but I get it.
  21. I'm not sure I believe this, I think the bids get filtered by RUB and then sent to Royal somewhere closer the sailing. They blame RUB system so the disappointment doesn't fall with them. I don't know this it's just my gut, then they sift through & check how can they make the most money costing the least monies for their output. Make a loyal guest happy by looking at C & A status, then look for the least amount of people if only paying for the first two and finally using the celebration to finalize the decision. This is how I would do it anyway! Everyone wins, as I still think a Loyal to Royal guest would appreciate a RUB win so much more....no justification for my thoughts so.....just my scary mind. It just makes fiscal sense, two people cost less in Star benefits then a family of 4. Genie gets a more relaxed cabin for the week.....If I'm a Genie I want YOU!!!
  22. @Lovetocruise2002 Yay, I've been looking for this one! All our positive energy coming at you for the RUB win. Honestly why wouldn't they choose you? HELLO!! Anniversary, Special Couple D+ and only the 2 of you....a Genie's dream. I would choose you guys for sure. I'm looking forward to your amazing sailing...I took care of all the irritants for you a few weeks ago, lol! Have an amazing time and thanks for bringing us along.
  23. I LOVE the way you express yourself, I am so going to use this!!
