  1. Thanks for the help ......i will definently use it
  2. I was ready to take you with me until I got to the part where you promised to be good.....just kidding .....besides the wife would probably object to it. Save up....you will be able to go one day.
  3. Thank you for the info I am sure it will help! We signed up for excursions in St. Petersburg last week so we are set there. Thanks again
  4. You are probably right on that one. My last cruise I was a first time diamond member and also first time grand suite. I guess I thought it was a suite perk. Oh well I'm in the ole fart category so the nice people on here need to help me keep it straight
  5. We are going to the Baltics on the Navigator in June and I was checking to see if anyone here has any good tips for this trip. The stops are Oslo, Copenhagen, Tallinn, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Bruges. Are any of the cruise ports near the areas just to walk around and see the sites without having to sign up for an excursion? Money exchange problems? Good local food? etc etc......Thanks...Mike
  6. Its $200 but you have to wash dishes the whole cruise
  7. If I remember correctly there are several other perks not mentioned on here. You will have several free drinks loaded on your gold sea pass card to use at select bars during the time the concierge lounge is open for free drinks. So if the lounge is too crowded just try a bar close by but be sure to ask the bartender if the bar is covered for a free drink. Also you will be able to have breakfast at the chops grille. It will be a lot less crowded and easier than the windjammer. Good luck and we know you will have a great time.
  8. We also stayed at the Radisson several times. It says on their website that they allow two people per room for the shuttle. We had an extra room for our teenage girls(3) and didnt have a problem getting them on the shuttle but you might want to call the hotel and make sure. Also when you first check in to the hotel get you name on the shuttle list at the earliest time. Get to the port as early as you can.
  9. Since you are a suite guest you will have a number of advantages over the other guests. Before the evening meals you have free drinks in the concierge lounge, use your gold sea pass card to get in the lounge. Reserved seating in the shows. The list goes on. But most of all make sure you have the right documents to get on board and DONT BE LATE!.....otherwise I m sure you will have a wonderful time
  10. Living in Orlando you might also consider the Oasis of the Seas since it leaves out of Port Canaveral. It is one of the largest ships with endless things to do. The whole family would love it. Good Luck
  11. If you plan on visiting the casino you will need some cash for that.
  12. We went on a Voyager cruise with my 3 daughters, 20, 17, and 15 years old, and when we checked in we put them in the inside room by themselves with their own sea pass cards and we stayed in the balcony room with our own sea pass cards. At check in they did not say one word about the girls being in one room and us being in another.
  13. Looks like you have it all together.....good luck and remember you can never have too much fun
  14. Looks like you have it all together....good luck and remember you can never have too much fun..
  15. Not sure if this is your first cruise or your first cruise on RC but not wanting to sound like a broken record I always like to warn first cruisers about having the right paperwork(IDs) and Dont be late embarkation day or coming back from the port stops....I m sure you will have a wonderful time!
  16. Two very important things to remember. Don't be late! They will not let you on the ship if you are late. They will also not wait for you if you are late coming back to the ship while you are at your port stops (only exception is if you are on a RC excursion) Also make sure you have the correct IDs to get on board.....and most of all.....Have a good time! Remember .....you can never have too much fun
  17. Although I have never done it, I would think you would be able to order your Crown and Coke through room service and never have to leave your room to look for a bar. Order a double and you can take all the time you want getting ready.....I m sure you will have a wonderful time....Mike
  18. We have used the same TA starting on our first cruise. On a Mediterranean cruise several years ago our TA bailed us out of a big problem when RC canceled our 5 day cruise tour just 30 days before the cruise. He got us the same itinerary about $1800 cheaper with private guides and cars. I could go on about all the special things he set up for the cruisetour but it would take forever. We also have one set up for Paris and London on our up coming cruise in the Baltics in June. The TA can be invaluable.
  19. Your probably right Doc.....Hell...I dont even remember what I had for breakfast!
  20. There is a cruise pier right across from the Sheraton. This is NOT the cruise pier you will be using. Your RC ship will be leaving out of the Pan American pier which is about a 30 minute ride from the hotel ($25)
  21. We also stayed at the same hotel and I agree with Matt......it was great! Old San Juan has a free tram system. One that is inside the city and one that skirts the outside of the city ( the forts etc). One of the bell hops at the Sheraton explained how to use the tram system and also told us about some very good local eateries just a few blocks from the hotel.
  22. hmmmm....maybe things have changed. My understanding was if your name on your birth certificate doesn't match the name on the ID or manifest you have to show documentation of the change.
  23. Also if your girlfriend was ever married and is still using her married name that is different from her birth certificate she will have to have a certified copy of her marriage certificate showing her name change.
  24. How old are the grand kids? We sailed on the Freedom years ago with our three daughters, the oldest was 18, the youngest 13. They had an inside room across the hall from our balcony room. We had no problems at all. RC never said one word about someone not being 21.
