Nonchalant is a silly comment. So little is known. Figures are all over the place. Sensationalism is running rampant. If it was that terrible we would all be dead soon so you might as well stock up on food and stay home. You can be the lone survivor.

He is guilty, there is surveillance footage and witnesses. It doesn't sound like a good idea to sue. Even the slimy lawyer would be unlikely to pursue it because I'm sure it would be on contingency and it would be costly and he would get nothing.

People are no more loyal to Royal than Royal is to them. I laugh because people make these threats about switching lines because they're not getting what they are entitled to. Apparently, they haven't been on other cruise lines because other cruise lines' perks are minimal. You should always choose whoever gives you the most value and that can certainly change. All I know is I am always hearing people that receive the most perks complain the most. That is why Pinnacles have received such a bad reputation.

When I started cruising almost 20 years ago, cruising was much more expensive. You can now get a window room for less than we paid when I started cruising. I have met Pinnacles who brag about how little it cost them to reach Pinnacle by going back to back in inside cabins. The situation has changed dramatically. It would not surprise me to see major changes as the numbers swell. I think most people see it coming and are mad about it, but it seems inevitable.

Regardless of any excuses and regardless of any legal outcome, this families fate is already sealed. Grandpa will always be known as the man that dropped his special needs baby step- granddaughter out a window and the parents will always be seen as blaming unaccepting sue happy people. The lawyer will be the sole winner. He got his 15 minutes of fame. Fortunately for a lawyer like him, any attention is good attention.

How early will the Royal tranfers leave. We can carry off our luggage and get on the first shuttles but I know they have to fill before they leave. Thanks.

I am always hearing about how little the crew get paid and now people will be angry because gratuities go up. It's truly damned if you do, damned if you don't. Maybe people just like being fault finders.

I wonder if the Bahamas are too far. Years ago we took Rhapsody from Galveston and the first stop was Key West. If I remember correctly, it took a long time to get there and the stop was short.

I for one am very excited. For anyone out west, this will make cruising so much cheaper and easier. I know people complain about ports but for me, it's all about the ship and I love Allure.

I thought I read that Disney would use one of the existing terminals. I would love to see them bring Celebrity ships to the new terminal though.

I don't think you understand. I do not want to make this personal so please do not take it that way. Everyone is a victim. We all suffer terrible losses, death of parents, children, spouses, beloved pets. This is not in any way a normal reaction to a tragedy. Blaming others and trying to profit off your own child's death is sick. When people try to justify these actions it is just plain sad and misguided.

So people think the family should profit from the baby's death. Why? To punish the company for doing nothing wrong? To help care for the injured victim? Why? I don't get this twisted logic. I'm sorry for Tiny blondes loss but you are still not thinking clearly. Your sympathy and empathy seems very misplaced. Your situation is not similar.

I understand all the theatrics to try to get the grandfather off but to try profit off the death of an infant is unconscionable. When do all of the family's comments become slanderous . I think they are walking a fine line. Any compassion is quickly evaporating.

I vote grandpa goes to jail and no money is paid to the family. I don't think there will be an out of court settlement. It's like dealing with terrorists or extortionists. If you give in, you just invite more of the same.

There is no defense. They are grasping at straws. It was just plain negligence. People empathize because of their own previous experiences but this has nothing to do with what happened to them. This is a totally different situation. It's a totally unnecessary tragedy but that does not get people off the hook for their actions.

Why are they even doing public appearances and interviews? The whole situation is very suspect. Are they really trying to make a case to sue Royal? The court of public opinion is not going to sway grandpa's criminal trial. Are they just trying to get a payday? Bizarre.

I don't think there is audio. If there isn't, that whole part is fabricated.

The family and lawyer probably have no idea what even happened. The initial story was that the baby climbed up on a chair. They have not been allowed to view th surveillance footage. They are making up a defense from thin air. When the footage is shown at trial, that should show what truly happened. Since the grandfather is being charged criminally, I think it speaks for itself.
