Well at least I know going in what to expect. I have to do a little work while I am on board, so we shall see what happens

Any updates? We're sailing on Radiance is a couple of weeks. Was wondering if smaller capacity ships have fewer less problems the larger class ships sailing at full or near capacity? Or is it across the fleet?
Not sure if this has already been stated, but I read that Starlink was to be on all RC ships by April 1st. I hope its as good as it has been advertised. We are on Harmony soon and it would be nice for strong internet.

Tried to reserve entertainment this morning, not sure it was successful, as I didn’t get a confirmation email. Was I to expect an email?

I received emails confirming all of my reservations. I didnt book them all at once so I ended up with 4 separate emails, newbie mistake lol. I was excited to see the shows open for reservations and grabbed seats for Grease 1st then worked on the rest.

Does anyone know if there more onboard activities load for pre-booking? Like the flowrider or whatever else that could be booked early?

Just booked all our entertainment.
Same, I saw it this morning and grabbed everything before teaching my classes. Jumped on here to help pass on the good news. I thought it was going to open 30 days prior to sailing. I am glad I have been checking as much as I have. I didnt want us to miss out on the shows.

Check in will open at about 12:01am, so late night the 4th or early am the 5th depending on how you want to look at it. Using the app you can just select a boarding time and then do everything else later. We’re sometimes had trouble with check in not opening in the app right away, and have had to use the website.
Good to know about the app giving you issues. I prefer to use a computer for most anything over an app or mobile site.

Checking is coming soon! Couple of questions. When we check in on the app do we need to have pictures ready to upload when checking in? Also, does anyone know if check-in starts right at midnight when the day changes from the 4th to the 5th or is it more like 6am on the 5th? I am just trying to be ready when it is time for check-in

Almost all the safes we have in our balcony rooms will not fit a tablet. It seems when they upgrade the rooms the safes tend to shrink. The compartment where they sit did not change, only the size of the safe.
I was thinking from what I have watched and read that the safes were more for smaller items. Thanks for the information.

I don't know the measurement but what we do is use 1 of our suitcases as our safe. That is where we store his wallet, my purse and our money. We have color copies of our passports and when we get off in port we carry them and leave the originals in the suitcase also. I have read about who has access to the safe in the room and I trust our suitcase with a TSA lock more than using an in-room safe.
good idea. We have a suitcase with the same sort of lock. I might just have to follow suit. I didnt think of that , Thank you

We transferred our cruise to MEI last month following all the amazing feedback from the group around effortless repricing, but it looks like we were paired with an unresponsive agent (withholding name). I sent a simple time-sensitive question via email to her a week ago and haven't heard back.
I was considering reaching out to MEI and perhaps asking for a more responsive agent - seems like a reasonable request. Is it too late to transfer back to RC?
Thanks for the advice,
Andrew
I had a similar experience with MEI. 1st vacation through them I was satisfied overall. 2nd there were issues with communication and things we asked to be booked were neglected. Response time was slow over email and I had a hard time connecting over the phone, which is my preferred method to talk when discussing plans. I had to remove vacations from them when pricing changed without explanation. I lost confidence at that point and have been booking things on my own. I considered using a TA again for an all inclusive resort we booked, but decided not to.
Each their own, I am not advocating for not using a TA or even to avoid MEI. I think my experience could just come down to a difference in preferences which lead to the issues experienced.

Hello,
Trying to find out if an iPad will fit inside the in safe provided in each cabin? I do not think so, but was hoping someone can confirm that for me or not. Regular sized iPad, not a mini.
TIA

Sun Bum only removes oxybenzone and octinoxate, so acceptable in some places and not others. If you look for specifically Mineral sunscreen, you have a better chance at finding things that are all good.
Hawai'i has some of the strictest sunscreen laws on the planet from what I can find, so I've been using their guides while searching.Looking into the Hawaii regulations. Thanks for posting that information.

Not a condiment, but along the lines of bringing things with you...straws.
I read awhile back RC changed to a new biodegradable straw, that did not wilt in your drink like a regular paper straw. I forget the name of the new straw, but how is it holding up in a drink? Does it alter the taste of your drink or get mushy? Should I bring my own metal straws?

Hello,
Looking at some of the excursions listed and I am seeing biodegradable sunscreen listed as "what to bring" item. Just checking with the cruising community to see if "reef safe" is the same thing. I am seeing reef safe labeling when I am checking Amazon's listings.

Am I allowed to laugh at this? Cause I did find it funny. I hope you recovered from this traumatic experience.

You can do it directly from #3 on this Shareholder Benefits Q&A page: https://www.rclinvestor.com/contact-us/faqs/shareholder-benefit/
I have not used that site before, thank you for the information.

I had a link saved to start the process to submit proof of shares to receive the OBC. The link does not work anymore. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can submit the required information so we can receive the OBC?

No room service on disembarkation day. WJ is a mess and the MDR is hit or miss. The Key gets you a leisurely breakfast in the MTD space.
Sounds exactly how I have it envisioned. I can't justify the cost of the Key for what little it does for you.

I am going to guess that the Windjammer is packed on disembarkation day. Does the MDR get crowded too? If we wanted to get room service that morning is it possible? Just get the continental breakfast or something easy sent up? I think room service would not be possible, but just checking.
Silhouette
in Celebrity & SilverSea
Posted
We booked a March 2025 ( I know forever away) sailing after watching the recent video comparing RC v Celebrity that Matt's team produced. We were booked on Independence of the Seas for the same dates.
The idea of it being less hectic during the spring break season was what got my wife and I thinking of switching. There seems to be several really nice features to Silhouette. The pol sizes and Craft Social were 2 things that stood out to me.
