  1. Be flexible about when you want to go, and just keep checking availability. You never know when there will be some weird deal. First time we were ever in a GS was because it happened to be priced lower than a JS about 90 days out. It was all down hill from there...
  2. I glanced at this photo and assumed you were going to be making a joke about Bud Light = water
  3. Your math is correct. Only additional thing to consider is if you want to do lunches in specialty venues. Depending on how many port days there are (when specialty dining is usually closed) you may be adding 3-4 more meals.
  4. July is a really long time from now. I suspect many things will change, many times over between now and then. Try not to worry about it yet!
  5. 70% plus crew would be close to 6000 Actually it's pretty accurate. 48/6000 = about 0.8%
  6. Welcome to the Boards! Unfortunately Android 6 is old enough that it is no longer supported (no security updates), so the app is restricted from working on it
  7. Welcome to the boards! it depends on what he considers a large file, and if timeliness is important, and what region you’re sailing in (for satellite connection).
  8. Oh, yes, that's good! I still like B
  9. Not out yet. Hopefully there will be some -- it will likely depend on how sales of the current available itineraries go.
  10. Well, my mother went from Platinum to Diamond with one cruise in October, so you're probably right!
  11. There's a Renaissance by Marriott right next to the dock in Curacao. Not sure if they are currently doing day passes but it would be worth it to reach out -- you can walk to it from the ship, it has an amazing pool and a casino if you're so inclined.
  12. Same here. I had to pester them twice at [email protected] before my link finally arrived. Ended up being more than 30 days after the sailing. Keep on it!
  13. Welcome to the Boards! The official answer is no, they will not be able to join you.
  14. I loved that there will never be another chance to go through the Panama Canal on a such big ship with SO FEW PEOPLE! No crowds anywhere, easy to see everything and take tons of photos. Super lucky we got the opportunity!
  15. Down in the fine print it says this, so just pick one guest to put it in your cart: The cost of this tour is per bungalow and is for 2 person occupancy. Additional guests are bookable onboard for $199 per person with a max of 4 guests per bungalow.
  16. Oh, and it’s not much of a headache. It’s not like you have to put your bags out the night before or anything. The switch is very easy!
  17. Me, I would put a minimum bid on all of them. That way you’re not expecting anything but if you do win you got a screaming deal and you won’t mind giving up your old rooms!
  18. Welcome to the boards! There will be servers from the various restaurants roaming around the Windjammer and various bars right after you embark. They will be looking for people to book specialty restaurants and will most likely have a deal they can give you. You can ask about UDP, or you can just ask what they can do for you for a specific restaurant. We have gotten half off pretty regularly if we're willing to go one of the first two nights.
  19. On Android yes, on iOS no. We have been super happy with Google Fi for a number of years now, but we buy the Pixels to make sure we can access all the features. On other devices it's just not nearly as good.
  20. It's not super big. Perfect for a week's worth of socks, underwear, and a few small items, but one pair of jeans will pretty much fill it. The $34.99 is available from about day 3, usually. Also, if you're in a suite or you're Diamond or higher you'll get a discount.
  21. That's a pretty significant price reduction from what was available onboard. The 5 photos thing was the smallest package they had and it was something like $400 onboard. If professional photos is something you want, you should consider snapping it up. We stay in suites pretty regularly and had not noticed this benefit before, but we may not have been paying attention -- MisterZ is not normally a fan of photos but we must occasionally accomodate the mothers and their desire for family photos
  22. On Serenade last month, it was a per session fee. They also gave a free session to anyone in a GS or above, and raffled off some free sessions in the casino the first night. Be advised, it is done by a contractor photographer, unrelated to the regular photogs that run around the ship. Also, the packages offered for purchase were all pretty large and what I would consider "wedding" prices. We did the session and even though there were some great shots we did not purchase anything because he wouldn't sell us just a few.
  23. Welcome to the boards! Yes, that is correct. They will open the Windjammer for dinner if there are enough passengers aboard, but they might not make that decision until right before sailing.
