Games will be on. The broadcasts are syndicated via ESPN since the television stream is considered international.
Our school's spring break overlaps with opening weekend so I've been on several cruises during March Madness. Two years ago when Arkansas made its run, I was on Liberty with I think 50% of the population of Arkansas. It was amusing seeing them crowded around any TV they could find.

Make sure you get the Internet package. Our experience with NCAA Tournament games is that Playmakers carries the ESPN International package. While you'll get a few games here and there, they may not carry the specific games you want to see.
You may find you'll want to stream your preferred game to a personal Internet device, thus making the Internet package a big deal.

Every time we go to Nassau I buy cigars for my boss. There is a guy who sells them in a liquor store on Bay Street, he only has one leg. Nice guy, I get 3 for $40. I know full well they aren't really Cuban, but the boss says they are some of the best he has had.  I cannot comment as I don't smoke them, but he likes to have one with a glass(or 2) of good Scotch. All about keeping the man who signs my paycheck happy!

No cigar room onboard Freedom. The designated smoking area on the pool deck is the “cigar lounge” and it just doesn’t feel right.

I'm shocked, shocked I say, that the locals would rip off unsuspecting tourists.

Yes you can smoke a cigar in designated areas. I do miss the Connoisseur club on board.

You can definitely bring them onboard.  It's only booze they care about -- which will be returned to you the night before you disembark.

Just one thing to keep in mind - if you're looking to buy "Cuban" cigars in Nassau, keep in mind that most in any area you likely go to will be fake, or at least much lower quality than you are looking for. They know there's a market for Americans, and they're happy to bamboozle them. So you may want to do a bit of research on where to buy legit ones.

If you are any type of cigar aficionado then you'd love, love, love a future port stop in Puerto Plata, DR
