tipping questions - suite on Anthem in Southampton
FionaMG replied to fa-li's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
British porters don't expect to be tipped at all but if you are tipping them it's best to do so in pounds. Nowhere in the UK is going to happily accept USD the way they do in the Caribbean islands so in order to use the money the porters would have to take it to the bank to exchange it, which is a fair bit of hassle for not a lot of return, especially once the bank takes its cut. -

Yes. And printers. But you do need to have purchased Internet access.

Depends on where you are (and assuming you're not counting the infamous cabanas on Coco Cay). Excursions in Europe are typically more expensive than in the Caribbean, for example. This is the most expensive one on the Anthem cruise I have booked for later this year: -
Has Chef's Table become locked down with its menu?
FionaMG replied to JLMoran's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Sounds like a win-win to me. -
I really enjoy the MDR for breakfast too but, unfortunately for me, DH gets antsy sitting waiting for his food to arrive so most of the time we just head to the WJ. One thing to bear in mind is that the power wrap is not included in the brunch menu that some ships have recently been offering on sea days, so if you want to try it you need to go on a day when it's the full breakfast menu.

I didn't request the sides; they just brought it to me like that. However, it may be ship and/or sailing dependent because the previous times I've had it, all of which were on Anthem, it did not have as many sides. September 2022: April 2023: And July 2023: So the one on Symphony was the best as it came with lots of sides. I expect you could ask for them if they don't come out straight away. The salsa was really good.

I wouldn't expect later dates in 2026 to begin showing up until around November/December this year.

I think they're due to be released in the week of 8 April.

Maybe she can find something nice for you to do in one of your ports instead -
Has Chef's Table become locked down with its menu?

Even if they change out the wines, it completely defeats the purpose of a chef's table. The menu should be down to the individual chef responsible for the meal. -
I had to look that up to see what Wiggles are.

Hi @New Cruiser from Kansas and welcome to the boards. Check out this thread on the Shore Excursions board. I posted my research in it for our Norwegian fjords cruise last year. You don't mention which ports you're visiting except for Stavanger but at least it will give you a starting point. Also @Plasticbrain is from Norway and has posted lots of useful information. The easiest way to find it is to open the Shore Excursions board and type the word "Norway" into the search box towards the top right. Hope it helps.

WONDERing How Cruise #2 Will Go - March 17-24, 2024
FionaMG replied to OCSC Mike's topic in Live Blogs
I can't believe it's over already. Where did the week go? Safe travels home @OCSC Mike and @GatorCruiser and thanks for the ride. -
It will be. It's always good to try out a different ship. I'm hoping to do a cruise down your way to celebrate my retirement in a few years from now.
