  1. Good shots Linda...have a better feel of atmosphere & the ambiance of the place. Looks like the perfect location for it. Jamie"s on Anthem seem isolated away from everything else, although it was next to Vintages & on the was towards 270, which I love(one of the best spots on the ship). It was obviously all indoors, & serve good food. I just thought the atmosphere was bland and as good the food was there, eerily surprise a lot of people didn't frequent the place during peak dinner hours. We ate there twice on a 9day. My wife love to eat outside; so, she is going to love eating at Jamie's on this ship. Hopefully it not windy...Central Park on Oasis its tended to have a strong, whipping, draft in so areas.
  2. SkyPad is no more...so that's one less experience; and again, Nav ots is unique & a one of a kind Refurb...that's what set it apart from Mariner.
  3. I'm assuming everyone looking at the Belly-Flop contest?
  4. So will I...looking forward to see what the smaller/older ships have to offer. The emphasis have been on the latest & greatest megaships like Oasis, Quantum, & Freedom Class ships. I'm interested to see blogs on the Voyager to smaller class ships like the Radiance class. I want to start sailing these class of ship in the future, in the mist of sailing the latest & greatest.
  5. I imagine it was moderately pack there(Playmakers) before the Hiro show started.
  6. @AshleyDillo Ok...make sense it would be in Central Park. Not sure how I missed that from some of the videos I've seen. Great to hear that...one thing my wife likes to do when we frequent restaurants or eating establishments is eat outside, enjoying the breeze & ambient sounds of the day, as well as the sometime tranquil atmosphere, when smokers are not around(no offense to smokers).
  7. Good shots LindaN...thanks. Pretty interesting seeing how they post televised games on the chalkboard, synonymous for the menu's "Catch or Choice" of the Day. I love the low light atmosphere & a few outside TVs...I wrongly assumed all of them would be inside.
  8. Definitely, as many angles as you can of Playmakers...as I expect to spend a lot of time there later this year; and, Jamie"s...wonder If there"s an outside dining area as well. Have a great cruise...hope your daughter have the time if her life. Bon voyage! ?️
  9. Exactly....I think it's the reason why it's the only one of its class. ?
  10. If anyone ever cruise on the Norwegian Escape, Tyler is the best cruise director my wife & I have ever experience...dude is great, entertaining, & very quip.
  11. Sabor is done...that's what El Loco Fresh is for...and moved to a good location. If RCCL entertained any thoughts on retaining Sabor or somekind of Sabor Express spinoff(which essentially what ELF is), to preserve a familiar name that RCCL cruisers would know....RCCL would have moved Sabor where ELF is located, call it express; and, ELF wouldn't have ever come into existence. The new name suggest a different type of eatery venue...one that is definitely more express and less bar/lounge as Sabor.
  12. Carnival came up with the Oasis concept; but, never acted upon it. RCCL bought the plans & tweak it a bit...and whala, an Oasis Class ship was born.
  13. There area few areas, on the ship, for potential Skypad location, should RCCL deem it an absolutely "must have" for Oasis or Allure OTS. Ehhhh....Skypad, may not see the light of day on other ships, given the recent pending legal/safety & safety checks failure on Mariner. However.... 1) One such place, removal of the port side Flowrider, inserting the Skypad in its place, with a slight ship overhang, much like on Mariner OTS. 2) Another as suggest, in place of Oasis Dunes Golf...and as a result, possibly relocating ODG on top of the Windjammer, obviously with glass barriers for safety...similar to some of the older ships where the putt-putt is located & isolated on some of the upper decks. 3) Another idea...an open area, in Studio B. Much like the trampeez activity on Quantum Class Ships Sports Plex...doesn't have to have the bright orange whiffle ball. Just suspend bungie's off the raffles. 4) Finally...this will take some engineering marvel, to pull this off, given the area restraint. Remove "Wipe Out Bar" & tower, located center aft. Will also have to finagle the Zipline, attaching it somehow to or just offset of the Skypad mounting columns. Obviously, the biggest concern will be how much it encroach on Abyss & both Flowriders, and the need of the tower. Anyway...my best guess...no Oasis Class Ship will have a Skypad.....others may not as well. ?
  14. Interesting thing about Sabor, several times at the Boardwalk, there was hardly anyone in Sabor. Everytime, it was completely empty, if not for a few patrons hanging out there. It did not bring the foot traffic to the Boardwalk...most of the traffic went to that center Bar(forgot the name) or Jonny Rockets(which really seem to attract customers after noon, than tail downl. I've said in another post or earlier in this thread, that before Playmakers became a thing, I had thoughs of a sports bar concept, as a better venue, for the Boardwalk...after seeing how vacant Sabor was everytime my wife & I went down there.
  15. I wasn't speaking in particular about Oasis OTS, only in general. I have done a 7D on Oasis OTS & I am very aware they don't have Wonderland. I mingle with a lot of fellow cruisers...a number of them have experienced Wonderland; their thoughts of it, like a novelty, nothing more, not something most wish to invest time doing again. Why my suggestion would look to move another venue in its place. Now, I'm sure Royal's marketing engineers are crunching the numbers, comparing foot traffic reservation, length of seating times, repeat patrons, etc, comparable to the cost of operation, overhead, & a number of other factors, to determine the viability of it. If Oasis get Wonderland...I imagine it must be cost efficient enough to continue venue or they just don't have any other, more attractive ideas.
  16. Reviews are helpful in many ways however...give the cruise owners an opportunity to reexamine certain processes & procedures that made need to be tweaked or update/modernize. Also gain helpful advise when it may be time to replace a venue with a more attractive idea. On the passenger side...give cruisers heads up on some things to expect or at minimal, be aware of. Most reviewers tend to be honest in their criticism & the reader has to determine if it a concern or not, based on their individual likes & dislike or levels of agreement/disagreement. I know there are some malicious reviews out there, regardless how overly zealous or exaggerated some may be; they for the most part have some personal element or level of truth to it...just those individuals take this extremely personal...and I think most readers can discern the difference.
  17. It's not what they can offer that those you mentioned already offer...it's the fact that a "Cruise" can offer a theme park experience, with smaller, limited crowds, as part of its itinerary.
  18. I think one thing that could be a boost is overnight itineraries either at private island resorts or major U.S. or Intl cities...or some combination of both, if applicable. Ex: port out of Vancouver, overnight stay in SF or LA. Or if cruising to Hawaii out of Vancouver, an overnight in Honolulu. Or out of Sydney, Australia, overnight stay at a private island resort rumored to be built in the region the same in the caribbean. In Europe, a number of Mediterranean cities for an overnight stay. Explorer OTS did that once in consecutive weeks, in SF. Be nice to see a lot more of that.
  19. See what impact, if any hopefully, the "Scarlet Lady" has on the N&D policies on many of these cruise lines.
  20. Before I first read/shared the article, I never thought of CC as being a cruise outpost; so, I found the title of the article captivating. After reading it, I reach the conclusion obviously, they desire to cash in on that source of revenue; but, need to find out how valid it would be for the "city/county" to invest huge amount into developing, over some number of time, in attracting cruiselines into considering CC as one of their excursion outpost. I'm sure looking at CC now at face value leaves many questioning why would a cruiseline even look at CC, yet alone, consider it as one of their destinations. The city appear to be the ones considering the validity of making investment, what the aporoach & blueprint would be, what infrastructure need improving, & relationship with many entities(like the airport as mention) in helping to attract lines to consider them as an outpost. I'm sure what they got in mind would look good & attractive; but, the cost/reward has to be studied...which all I think is just happening. It may happen, it may happen many, many years from now, or it may not happen at all. Good to know the city is at least thinking about its future opportunity.

  22. My gut say Navigator was special...so, I suspect Voyager to get amped similar to Mariner/Adventure.
