Ha! I've been so busy, i didn't realize you were home briefly and then back out. I hope you have an another amazing cruise!
P.S. +2 with you and Dan. We're also not flying any time soon which is also limiting our itineraries. Love your perspective on cruising in retirement. We have been thinking of calling it quits and Batman is 'suite or bust' so thinks we're going to cruise every other year. Um, not sure where that is coming from, but we're definitely not on the same page! 😆

This was interesting to see during out stop at Coco Cay this morning. 

I’m currently on Icon and noticed the Royal Bling Cup at a cabana on Coco Cay and went to speak to the guy who was very friendly and mentioned what he intends to do with it after the cruise. It was a shock to see it being used as an actual CUP 😲
(sorry the actual name of what it is alludes me at the moment)
 

So I’m just wondering what it is you are expecting to get for your discomfort?   I mean, I feel badly about your experience but as @wordell1 noted…mattress comfort is subjective.  Royal’s mattresses have been known to be good…bad…soft…hard…comfortable…uncomfortable.  
I would concentrate on all the great aspects from your cruise and move on from there.

I have received the survey each time, but I only sent it in the first time.  Since then, I have ignored it.  I send everything when the genie contacts me directly.

Agreeing with @Lovetocruise2002here. Last SC cruise, we skipped the survey all together. Once we heard from our Genie, i created a short and pithy note of our must dos and donts to help her Genie-up our trip.
She loved it and gave me a big hug and thank you for it when we met in person. Needless to say, we got along very well and had a very smooth trip. 
The survey is fun, once, sure. But definitely not a deal breaker by any means. 

Neither. You should direct all calls for food you want delivered to your room to your Genie.

Genie..always the Genie. They even prefer you to use them for regular room service (though we won't disturb them late, late night).

And, i mean, I'm still not team clip cup but now for my next cruise, I'm wondering if i won't have FOMO ....

I will try to do some wrap up in the next day or so, after I finish unpacking, catching up on mail and email and getting laundry going.
Getting out of the terminal today was a bit of a zoo; we usually don't leave until the end of disembarkation and crowds have cleared out, but we had an 11:30am flight from PBI so we got into the line around 8:20am which was the thick of it, and finally got into our ride around 9:10am. Because of the long ride and the early flight, I booked Blacklane and got charged for a few extra minutes of wait time because I had no signal in the terminal and my texts didn't go through.
It isn't worth arguing about it, but he arrived an hour earlier than I booked and bothered me a few times asking when we would get out when we were still trying to get a seat in the WJ for breakfast. I reminded him that we booked for 8:50 not 7:50, so he said to let him know when he should pull around. As soon as we got to our luggage, I texted him three times but there was no cell signal in the building so I had to call him when we got outside and those were the extra minutes we got charged for - because my texts didn't go through (so instead of being in the process of pulling up for us, he was still "waiting.")
We had no traffic getting to PBI but he started going to Miami accidentally and had to turn around. 😂 And told us not to talk to him. But everything after that was very comfortable and smooth, timing was perfect, flight got in early and no traffic to get home (although AGAIN, there was a bad accident - 5 fire trucks - on the other side of the turnpike backing up everyone going the other direction).
We had parked at Value Parking which I recommend for Newark. It is a dumpy little lot, but the people are nice, the rates are decent for Newark, the shuttle comes quickly when you call, and our car was perfectly fine. Just got groceries for the week (that we have to cook ourselves 😭) and my husband went to pick up our Seeing Eye puppy from the sitter.

Thank you! We are in our ride to the airport now. One little shenanigan this morning. We were in the long, snaking line that creeps to the scanner to exit the ship and two guys with their luggage just came off the elevator, started walking alongside the line and then just tried to squeeze in front of me. I asked - are you with them? Pointing to the people in front of us, the first guy said no, I'm with him and shrugged to his friend. I said - then the line is all the way back there and pushed myself back in front of them. I guess the people behind us didn't care if they cut the line because then they were still just behind us sniggering and generally being obnoxious. 

What makes you think there is no sales pitch ?  The first thing that popped into my mind was, “…timeshare…”.  

That is my assumption too. Thank goodness it's not a shady math booking lmao

Ha! Batman left his phone on the counter on our Norwegian cruise. Of course he realized it outside the terminal and i messaged the concierge. He found it immediately, but we were being ushered into the car and told to move along at that point. I think it cost us $20 to ship back? More with insurance. It took awhile, so i wish you better luck. 
But XS? Don't waste my time! 😆

I already had a long sleeve on this morning and I was planning to throw it into my bag for the plane and for when we get back to Detroit. But I totally forgot about it and realized once we were waiting for Lyft that I had left it. I messaged Shane right away and he located it. We’ll see how this return process goes. First time for everything 😉

I agree, and i do hope they give those rooms a refresh. We were fine in the OP since it's newer, but when i had a fleeting thought of downgrading to save a few thousand dollars in the Star Loft, i couldn't do it. I stand by my 90s College Dorm Room decor comment. 😁

Have a safe trip home!  I’ve never been in a CLS but the aft balcony is very unappealing to me.  I love looking at the ocean so hoping the ATS for our anniversary will be a balance. 
 
already landed.  Seems like a lifetime ago and not 8 days that our flight was cancelled.  So glad we made our spring break!

Week always goes by too fast.  Soaking up the sun and will pack before dinner.  Early flight out tomorrow.  This is when I really miss the suite perks. 

I spotted my beloved chicken picatta in the Gio pix.  
So agree about Cats.  I managed to get Dan to sit through the entire production exactly ONCE.  I also feel bad for the performers.  It's not like THEY are doing a bad job...it's just a show that has come and gone and they need to make it go AWAY.  Fat chance that will happen any time soon with the penny pinching at the moment.  I guess Aqua80s makes up for Cats. 🤣

Oh we heard the story! He told us that story earlier this week. I thought it was terrible, could not believe it. It was because of that story that they posed for an “air hug” for that photo lol

Flowriding is fun, but flowriding with friends is so much better ❤️
