  1. For you guys I MIGHT go inside to snap some photos. I'll need some liquid courage first. Does it look like you have to go through the WJ to get to The Hideaway? Awkward.
  2. I have booked an Oceanview Balcony (4D). I'm on Deck 8, behind the Trellis Bar. My initial goal was to get a suite, but the suites were just too much of a financial leap for me on this one. A Royal Up attempt to a Junior Suite was $3500! I rarely, if ever, step into the WJ - we may have to task someone with that one!
  3. Let's get this PARTY STARTED!!! That's right, for the FIRST TIME, your favorite (only?) Royal Caribbean Blog moderators (me, @AshleyDillo, and @Lovetocruise2002) are sailing on the same ship at the same time! This is going to be epi..... errrr... dare I say "ICONIC"? I am so excited for this sailing. There will be so many new things and so many old and new friends to spend time with. Each one of us will contribute in our own way. If there's something on the ship that YOU want us to document, ask a moderator!!!!!!! More to come!
  4. I was on Odyssey in January of 2022 and the service was bad back then, too. I did like the location, though. And, because the ship was at about 60-70% capacity, it was never crowded.
  5. What a treat to be able to "travel along" with you on this spectacular sailing. Thank you for sharing.
  6. We've been there several times on cruises. Victoria is beautiful and very walkable. We enjoy just walking into downtown and enjoying looking at the architecture, and having some lunch or dinner and a drink. There are often very entertaining street performers. There are several small, interesting museums. It may depend on what time you are in port and how long you stay. Butchart Gardens is very popular, and I understand spectacular. We enjoy the downtown so much that we've never ventured up there, though. Last time we took a whale-watching tour. We didn't see any whales, but the islands up there are beautiful and it was a great boat ride anyway.
  7. You would benefit by contacting a good travel agent to help you find appropriate accommodations for your group.
  8. Ha! I also found this to be one of my favorite pieces on Odyssey and we also passed it daily on the way to the suite lounge (agree, pain in the butt location).
  9. I'll do you one better. We actively disliked it. It made no sense, some of the songs were shrill and annoying. If we had been seated in a better place, we would have walked out. We didn't want to be rude, though.
  10. 2 connecting rooms will be your best option. It will probably be less expensive than a suite, and you'll have 2 bathrooms.
  11. No, and I wouldn't expect it to go into effect before the inaugural. They said early 2024, but that was all.
  12. Informal = you may or may not wear a tie with your jacket? lol
  13. Can confirm. And I bucked to peer pressure and booked the 2-day one ahead of it (because I could get the same room). Will I actually do the 2-night? Time will tell.
  14. For some unknown reason, he's following me on Insta. Weird.
  15. Do you have traditional dining or My Time Dining? If you have My Time, you will get a table for 2 if you request one. If you have traditional dining, then use these instructions from the Australian RCL website: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/aus/en/faq/questions/can-i-request-a-particular-type-of-table-or-location-for-dining-?country=AUS
  16. They were so small that I tasted, well, nothing. Absolutely nothing.
