  1. Walgreen's does rapid tests. You can schedule an appointment 2 days prior to your target date of testing. Do it very early in the morning to have more appointments available. I've been seeing more and more appointments available these days. The red icon means Rapid Test available
  2. @JOTO, you might want to change to title of this thread to something like "Dazzles on the Serenade?". It will get more attention that way.
  3. Is Vortex open to all guests? Looks like it is in an exclusive location.
  4. I don't remember seeing Dazzles on the Serenade. I've only seen it on the Harmony and the Allure, both Oasis-class ships.
  5. I’m understanding it that way too but it doesn’t sound like a “last minute” option at all.
  6. I enjoyed my cruise on the Empress. Small ship, intimate feel. I don’t care much about bells and whistles when I cruise, but I definitely don’t want a leaky ship.
  7. I don't know how to interpret the part where an appointment should be made 24 hours before sailing, 30 minutes before sailing time. Does this mean that you will not get tested at the port if you hadn't made an appointment 24 hours prior?
  8. I'm looking at Radiance and Quantum (instead of Serenade and Ovation) because I haven't sailed on them yet. Quantum gets a plus because its class is named after it. I read that the Northern Lights can be seen late August to April, that's why I'm leaning more towards a September sailing. EDIT: Ooops... I forgot the Radiance was also the name of its class
  9. As for me, I extremely dislike putting things in and out of my pocket, hence the obsession to find the right clip, lanyard, and holder.
  10. For me, it's the other way around. The eMed home test is the backup
  11. I've seen 3-4 Night cruises that are priced for budget conscious cruisers
  12. When I was on Allure, someone, who shouldn't have (*cough*crew member*cough), badmouthed the Enchantment saying it's old and it leaks when it rains. Has anyone been on Enchantment recently? What do you think of its present condition?
  13. Since Labadee is isolated from the main island, couldn't Royal beef up security to keep cruise guests safe?
  14. I haven't tried the proctored tests from Royal but I've been reading about shipping delays, failed tests, and expiration dates. In my city, there was a shortage of rapid test kits and difficulty booking appointments. With the 2-day time frame, it can become very stressful. For the avid cruiser that would not be much of an issue, but for the casual cruiser, it would be a hurdle.
  15. One other thing is the testing requirement for cruising. It takes a really avid cruiser to be willing to book testing appointments 2 days before a sailing. Maybe cruising will pick up more when the regulations are relaxed.
  16. I'd like to have one deck all to myself please.
  17. Looks like the demand for testing has gone down now. Weeks ago, at this time of day, there would be very few appointments available.
  18. The advantage with the app is that it places activities you've picked in your calendar so there no need for the (old school) highlighting on the physical Cruise Compass. I'm not sure but I think it even notifies you of those activities.
  19. I'm on this sailing and I'm wondering about this too
