  1. Woot woot!!! ... One down, 3,584 episodes to go ... ha ha Is there a way to keep all of these Port Information videos/episodes in one place like in a playlist or something? Maybe add another tab up top next to where the "Menus, Cruise Compass, Events" are at?
  2. My sister worked in a casino hotel that catered to tourists from that region. They had a problem which I can foresee also happening on the ship, that is people spitting anywhere, even on the casino’s (carpeted) floor. My sister said they passed around cups as a solution. I’ve read somewhere that Disneyland Hong Kong also had that problem.
  3. Here is where having one adult and one minor in each stateroom gives you an advantage. Once on board, you can switch to whichever arrangement you like.
  4. I was gonna say that looks a lot like my cabinet on the Ovation, I forgot you were on the Ovation!
  5. We can get him to gather intel on Civitavecchia before he goes on hiatus.
  6. Just a thought ... If I had the Refreshment Package, will Royal let me bring the soda of my liking onboard that exceeds their 12-unit limit?
  7. Another idea, consider checking in a little before 1:00PM. That way, you can head straight to your stateroom shortly after you get on board.
  8. I just grab them from the steward's cart when I'm too lazy to go to guest services. ? Sometimes, at around Day 2, I ask the room steward about them very nonchalantly. The subtle hint nudges them towards more exceptional service. Not that their service is unsatisfactory to begin with. (As an aside, I've always gotten good room stewards and waiters in all my Royal cruises.)
  9. See, this is the kind of "insider" info we need. If we had videos of this ports in the blog section, we can just provide links to them, right @Matt?
  10. I was gonna suggest this too ... that we can enlist other members for ports that @Matt doesn't have access to for information, walkthrough videos, tips, etc. As I was looking at ships originating from non-US ports, I found information about airports and transfers very valuable.
  11. Yes, for starters ... then ports where Royal docks ... Nassau, Freeport, Ponce, Cozumel, etc.
  12. That's good to know. I was looking at this snowbird migration itinerary myself. Being from Jacksonville, I also considered debarking in Canaveral.
  13. I don't know if this would apply to your situation but I've read that because of this Jones Act (Passengers Services Act), you will have to pay some $700+ in penalties per person. This can get complicated. When I would have missed embarkation on the Ovation in Seattle early this month, I asked about joining the cruise in Skagway instead. The Royal agent said I may, BUT... I must disembark in Victoria, BC, not Seattle. It has something to do with embarking/disembarking in the same US port (Seattle-Seattle) vs two different US ports (Skagway & Seattle). It was a good thing it worked out for me to embark in Seattle.
  14. One just has to look at comments posted on social media to see that many these days are very hard to please. It seems like everyone is complaining about something.
  15. Hi @Matt! I have a request and/or suggestion for future blogs. I think we need dedicated vlogs with information on the various ports that Royal Caribbean uses, one vlog per port if possible. I think it's undeniable that every cruise starts with the port experience. It would be very helpful, especially for first time cruisers, to find information on nearest airports, train stations, rideshare app availability, taxis, airport transfers, baggage handling, tipping, hotels with shuttles, etc. When I made a search in the blog, I found one for the Port Tampa quickly. Then after some more searching, I found one for Fort Lauderdale. While "shopping" for cruises, I've found myself having to look in many places for this kind of information.
  16. Just heads up... the syrups they use on the Coke Freestyle machines and fountains at the bars taste differently from what's used in the US. Personally, I don't like it ... I don't even unwrap my souvenir cup because I know I wouldn't use it on those machines. My waiter at the MDR gave me canned soda when I complained about the fountain soda he initially served me.
  17. Their promo videos and photos show people with GoPros going down the zipline. We made that argument with the operators but it didn't work.
  18. It all boils down to what the operators will say.
  19. Rachelle, sorry to hear about what happened to your business. The content on this thread clearly shows that you were not trying to scam anyone. If possible, the thread should not deleted just in case the same thing happens again. But the title should be changed to something like "Confusion over Caribbean Paddling in Saint Martin". My two cents...
  20. During our time, we were told that due to the weather conditions, they were not allowed.
  21. The price varies. You can save as much as 20-30% by purchasing it online before sailing. It’s $12.99 per day at the moment.
  22. From what I understand, the All-Digital Package is just photo files, no prints. EDIT: My bad
  23. I'm still considering my birthday cruise for November 2019. I have my eyes on the 8-night Empress sailing for November 15th.
  24. I do not know the answer to your question but do you still have the emails you got from Royal for your past cruises? You might have the information you need in those emails. Another option is to call Customer Service. I'm sure they have information about your past sailings.
