Use the ships towels and take 2 each just like at the pool.   But get your PIZZA first as the towels are heavy to hold while waiting in line for your pizza to cook.     Besides if you are flying beach towels weigh a lot and take up a lot of room.  Better yet take the blanket off of your bed.  What a concept.  HUH    Speaking of concepts I`m one of the few persons that takes the silver tray from under the ice bucket and gets coffee twice a day at Cafe Lattitudes or wherever.  Everybody stares at me like a deer in headlights look as I walk by.

that is a great idea, instead of trying to figure out how to bring more than two drinks back by myself...:)

  2. If you are referring to the Refreshment package (Royal Refreshment), this includes the specialty coffees (no Starbucks on the Oasis class but you can get the specialty coffees at non starbucks locations e.g. Cafe Promenade, Park Cafe, etc...) and teas, freshly squeezed juices, bottled water (I got the Evian large bottle on Labadee, Haiti) and everything else in the Soda package.

Do not pay for the extra bottled water to be delivered to your room.

I don't blame you.  We did Samba on our Allure cruise in April and we were so disappointed.  It had previously been such a fun experience and this time it was just - meh.

I completely agree with you.  It should be made clear which restaurants qualify for the BOGO (or any package, for that matter) when you purchase it.  I have heard that on some ships, Wonderland is not included in the dining packages.  I can't say that is a BAD thing, as I loathed Wonderland but some enjoy it very much or at least want to try it just to find out, once they board, that dining at Wonderland is not an option with the package.  They need to be CLEAR about what is included and what is excluded.

I totally agree with you and I am glad you agree with me...:).  On another note, we dressed formally for Day 2 and the people in Samba were dressed so casually...

  4. This was my experience on the Allure of the Seas in April, maybe it depends on the staff you're dealing with.

I had bought the BOGO 2 night dining package on the Cruise Planner ($50 CAD) and I was planning on going to Chops Grille and Giovanni's but once I got on board, my choices were only Giovanni and Samba. They said that I had purchased the $40 USD package and if I wanted to go to Chops, they could refund me the $40 USD package and they would offer Chops for half price...so, I was pretty irritated as I did not want to eat at Samba.  They should have stipulated the restaurants that were included. And she also mentioned that Chops is included in the $50 USD BOGO 2 night package (which was not an option on my Cruise Planner in Canadian dollars).

I will not be doing that again...Giovanni's was quite good though.

We got the email asking if we would be interested in an upgrade on our Adventure sailing if one became available. I answered with a resounding YES!!!   Well, we sail in less than a week and I haven't heard anything. Maybe we will get lucky and they will have upgraded us at check in.    One can hope ?

    Fingers crossed for you...:)

I read our cruise is sold out so I guess I'm S.O.L.

Not sure about that.  You never know as I presume for my situation, something happened the Saturday before...there could be last minute cancellations.  Good luck.  Now I am so spoiled and they have the WOW promotion again and kids are free and there is free OBC...yikes, wanna go back to Allure of the Seas and Labadee...

@JessiesGirland how was the JS versus the Oceanview you had booked??

OMG, I never saw the Oceanview room (as I am presuming RCL sold mine to another guest).  The JS was totally awesome, walk-in closet, coffee/tea machine, bathtub w/ shower (nozzle), 2 bathrobes, lots of drawers and desk space, bigger balcony (with small table and two chairs, two loungers) 80 square feet.  The room was around 300 square feet. We have 2 children (age 10 and 7) and they had their own sofa bed (so comfortable), I believe it was a queen or a double. There was a privacy curtain to separate the two beds (I guess this is the suite portion?).  The JS cards are a darker blue (Sea class) and you get preferential treatment for seating (main dining room) and you don't have to sign out the towels (on pool deck and outside on port days).  And to be able to eat at Coastal Kitchen with the elite was heavenly...

  9. I just came back from Allure of the Seas April 22-29 2018 and to my surprise I got an upgrade when I got to the pier. I originally booked an Oceanview Guarantee (Y) and I got my cabin of 3216 but I got upgraded to a JS 7226. I was in shock and thinking this was a mistake and they were going to take it away from me. When I got to the room, the sea pass cards there had a different last name (I'm thinking they either cancelled or they got upgraded as well) but I got it resolved quickly with Guest Services. We got to eat dinner at Coastal Kitchen. ?

  10. My understanding is that there are kids menus (modified regular menu) in some of the specialty restaurants where kids aged 6-12 pay $10, or if they want to eat off the regular adult menu (aside from the a la carte restaurant such as Izumi) they can:

Children between the ages of 0-5 are complimentary and ages 6-12 are half the adult price. Please reserve product for all guests who wish to dine. Adult price will be applied for all guests regardless of age; the difference between the adult price and child price will be refunded in the form of a refundable onboard credit (unless booked with non-refundable credit, in which case OBC will be non-refundable).

    Is that correct?

How would that work for the BOGO 2 Night Dining Package? The CAD pricing is $50 per adult.  How much would the kids be in this scenario if they were to eat off the adult menu? Would I pay for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) at $50 each ($200) and they would give me a credit ($50)for the kids amounts when onboard?

    Thank you.
