  1. They're definitely not the same now that they are a special order and not made in the quantities they once were. Something just doesn't work well with a smaller batch.
  2. Only Caribbean and Bahamas is significantly more variety available than going to the same 3-4 places on EVERY itinerary.
  3. A great opportunity to prepare your stomach for the onslaught of overeating. People who diet ahead of a cruise are doing it wrong. You need to expand your stomach, not shrink it in order to avoid the discomfort of overeating.
  4. Asian buffet night at WJ is the night I skip MDR completely (unless the MDR is serving lamb).
  5. If what I have been able to see is correct (YMMV), our Brilliance September MDR menu has been available since at least March (the first time I looked). It hasn't changed during the interim so I'm hopeful that it's accurate because I'll be able to have lamb 5 different nights (4 times as the Indian dish).
  6. Agree with @WAYNO about the ship view being worth the trip up in NorthStar. You get an amazing perspective on the upper decks of your ship.
  7. They don't use powdered eggs, but they DO use liquid egg product for the scrambled eggs and omelets. If you want fresh eggs used for your omelet, you must specify when ordering.
  8. Outside about a 100 mile radius (and even then, I think I'm being generous) the only thing resembling a decent cheesesteak is found at Jersey Mike's (and even then you have to adjust from their default American cheese).
  9. Ketchup is a waste of perfectly good tomatoes, high fructose corn syrup, vinegar, salt, and spices.
  10. If they had individuals of Italian descent working with the "Italian" restaurant menus, this would never happen.
  11. Underrated - NSA desserts - many nights this is a go-to for me even though I don't "need" to do so Underrated - many vegetarian options, especially appetizers VERY underrated - nightly Indian food options (meat and vegetarian) - on our next sailing, it appears from the menus currently posted that this will be my choice in the MDR more nights than not (lots of lamb)
  12. If you're a wine drinker (or not), take advantage of the Captain's Club Wine Tasting. The one I did included five wines plus a flat alcoholic grape soda (white zinfandel).
  13. Love the description of the Baked Oysters - "broiled oysters..." Somebody didn't proofread. (I'm guessing Royal missed it and @PG Cruiser just posted the actual menu verbiage)
  14. Three possible scenarios come to mind: 1 - Do you have past cruises that are missing but the points are potentially there? (Royal IT at play) 2 - Did you have multiple cruises under the old system of one point per cruise? (Three seven night cruises showing one point each would account for 22 because they gave an extra point to everyone based on some long-forgotten logic) 3 - Do you have a qualifying spouse who happens to have 120 points? (My cruises, including three as noted above, add up to 131 points. My account shows me as having 249 because that's what my wife has earned)
  15. I've added the 16 days out to my tracker for key dates on upcoming cruises (previously included final payment due date, check in opens date, and luggage tags (usually available) date).
  16. Until we re-booked at a lower price than the original booking and DID get the double points.
  17. Not wording - just wrong. The cruises associated with every account show this way, regardless of how it's booked. Try to link it and it will show that it is already linked with your account.
  18. As mentioned by @SpeedNoodles and @Atlantix2000, don't sweat this small detail. As many, myself included, can attest, the right zone being marked on your luggage tag is no guarantee that your bags will end up anywhere near your stateroom anyway. More often than not, they're within a door or two. But there are times where it feels like you're playing "Marco Polo" or "Where's Waldo?" in searching for a stray bag.
  19. And when you try to link the reservation, it tells you that the reservation is already linked. Royal IT strikes again.
  20. "Non-alcoholic spirit" - what an oxymoron.
  21. At least it wasn't like most hotel clocks (in the ones that still HAVE clocks) - off by 23 minutes or 37 minutes or 1:06.
  22. Royal IT system clock isn't synched to the real world.
  23. Happens all the time. Lots of people trying to check in as soon as it's available to chase the early boarding times overwhelms the system.
