Did you pack it in your carry on luggage or in your boarding luggage? I also wonder what they do with all these excess confiscations.
My understanding is anything confiscated at the beginning of the cruise will be returned at the end.

Thanks everyone..I have been in touch with the Global security and Investigations Operations for Royal......they had asked me not to say anything further at this point as they look into this.
I certainly don't want to get any one in trouble but at the very least, even if this is all innocent speak on social media, it certainly doesn't make Royal look good...and it could be potentially much worse.
Thank you for taking this further. I'm sure anyone traveling on that ship in the near future is grateful you took the time to report this to the proper authorities.

We've always known Surge Protectors are not allowed on RCCL ships, but I was just watching a Vlog by Griff & Alyssa on Youtube and they just had they're power strip taken by
security. Security told them power strips were no longer allowed on Royal ships. They said people were leaving them plugged in and the strips were over heating and starting
fires. This was just yesterday on their cruise to the Caribbean out of San Juan. Has anyone else heard of this?

As cookingyo says , that would be the best thing to do. Wander around Oia by yourself, then head up to Fira, wonder a little more and then take the tram down to the tender.
Perfect!! This is exactly what we are planning on doing. I guess I just needed confirmation we were doing the right thing!

We did SO64 the Akrotiri ruins and Oia Village. It was a 4 1/2 hour excursion but you only got an hour in Oia. The ruins were an interesting site but no where near Pompeii. When I go back, I am heading right to Oia. You want to go to Oia! It is the village were all the famous pictures you see on Santorini are taken. Fira is where you want to be at the end of the day to take the tram down and get the tender back to the ship.
Thank you so much! We are doing Oia at 8:00am returning to the ship at 11:00am with the rest of the day by the pool!

Replying in hopes to bump this up and maybe someone will help you out. Planning our first visit to Europe in 2020. What ship are you on, and when are you sailing?
We’re sailing in Jewel if the Seas, leaving Rome on September 27th for 9 night. Thanks for the bump!

The Questions page does not appear to have been updated in over a year. I would suggest asking questions on the board, then Matt as well as anybody else who might have an insight can weigh in.
Thanks, NS8VN. That's exactly what I did.

Sorry for the confusion. It's become a retired feature on the site.
The message boards are where you can post any and all questions.
Thanks, Matt. Took a minute, but I finally figured that out. BTW, I absolutely love this site so I became an INSIDER and well worth it. It must have taken you quite a while to set this all up, and I, for one, appreciate it!

I have three mid-September cruises. My 'eDocs' are ready for 9/12 including luggage tags - 47 days.
For my other cruises at 52 and 56 days, no eDocs yet, no luggage tags. Luggage tags are usually found within your eDoc near the end. This isn't the same as a SetSail pass.
A quick way to look for eDocs is in your dashboard once logged in. Click the "View more details" link and the section will expand. If you're eDocs are ready a link will appear for them. Otherwise it will state "You have no cruise documents available at this time".
Thanks again, twangster! I just checked and my edocs aren't ready quite yet, but I'm still 61 days out. I'll check back when it get's in the upper 40's.

Thanks, JLMorgan. That seems to be the consensus, so I'll keep an eye out for the email.

Will be traveling on the Anthem for our first Royal Caribbean cruise. I have a question re the Royal IQ communications package. (A similar question was asked last month but it does not look like the person got a full answer.) Does the $7.95 fee cover both my wife and I for the entire trip? Also, it was mentioned that those with iPhones could just use the iMessage feature to communicate. Would a Voom package be required for both phones to do that? Thanks in advance.
Excellent question john818! I think I understand how it works now, however I don't think Jewell has the IQ and that's the ship I'm sailing on. bummer?

Also LadyB you might want to look into the luggage tag holders they sell on Amazon. We bought some years ago and they work really well. The luggage tags you print off will fold nicely into the the holders which come with a small cable that attaches to you luggage. When ordering make sure you order the ones for Royal Caribbean If you are flying in just wait till after the flight to attach the cruise tags
Thanks for the heads up, but I bought a set of these for my cruise several years ago and absolutely love them. I got the ones with the metal ring that screws closed and they have lasted really well for several crusies.

Everytime I try to enter a question on the Question page it tells me to log in when I'm already logged in. What's up with that?

Thank you, twangster. I'll stop searching the site now. I was getting really frustrated. Everything said I needed to attach the luggage tags to my bags, but I couldn't find them anywhere.

I'm sailing on Jewell of the Seas on September 27th and have printed my SetSail Pass that I present when checking in t the pier.. However, there were no luggage tags included
with what I printed off. Does anyone know where I go to print my luggage tags?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are sailing on Jewell of the Seas on Sept. 27, 2018. We are meeting up with friends from Scotland 2 weeks before our cruise in Florence and spending time in Tuscany and Rome. I wanted to order flowers for Sue to be delivered to her stateroom. I called Royal to find out how to go about doing that and the gal I spoke to said that because this was an international sailing I would have to call Royal in Scotland to make those arrangements and she gave me the phone number to call. When I called Royal in Scotland I was told they couldn't help me and I'd have to call Royal International and they gave me that number. Spoke to Royal International and was told it couldn't be done because my reservation was made in the US and their reservation was made in the UK.. I went on line today with the intention of ordering the flowers to be sent to my stateroom and when we got on board I would ask our steward, when he had time, to please see that the flowers were delivered to our friends stateroom, which, by the way, was 4 doors down from ours. When I went to place the order I was asked for the reservation number and the sail date, so I entered their reservation number and the sail date. The next thing I new I was typing in my information, reservation number and credit card information and the request went through.
Don't get me wrong, I love Royal Caribbean and in all the time we have been cruising have only sailed on another line once, and only because Royal didn't sail the itinerary we wanted. Having said that, does the right hand have any idea what the left hand is doing at Royal customer service? It also took me 3 phone calls and Trevor 5 phone calls just to get our dinning reservations combined. There must be n easier way to get this kind of thing handled when we are sailing on the same ship at the same time!
OK, I'll get off my soap box now, but I really had to get that off my chest.

Will your husband be on the cruise with you? as in the same room?
Yes, and I don't know if it matters but he had a droid and I have an iphone. All I want to do is be able to text him.

Thanks, monorailmedic. I noticed the mis-spelling of Voom, but by the time I caught it, it was too late.
That was the most clear and consise explaination of what it and how to use it! I appreciate that answer very much.

Tiny260, thanks so much for your quick reply. So I'm assuming that if I do buy a Voom package I'd still be paying roaming charges, right?

We are traveling to Europe before our Mediterranean cruise and although I have an international plan in place I don't know which things to turn off and which to leave on.
Can someone please help with things like Data Roaming, Cellular Data, Cellular Data Options etc. Also, which apps do I leave Cellular Data on and which can I turn off. I just want to send and receive text messages and emails.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
