Dessert at Wonderland
As mentioned earlier, we headed over to Wonderland for desssert, specifically The World.
Our waiter also brought an extra, the Dream Sundae. It was just ok as we are not huge fans of meringue.

Dinner Night 3: Chops
Tonight marks the first night that we have ever dined at Chops on any cruise. I went tonight with a mission in mind. You all know that I am #teamCK and one of the things that I love the most there is the Filet on Night 1. I have also heard good things about the Filet at Chops. I figure that if I am going to continue to promote CK to @Matt and get those shirts made, then I better check out the competition.
The girls decided long ago that they were not interested at all in eating at Chops so Araceli asked what they wanted for dinner, they chose Wonderland. Our Perfect Day in Labadee turned into a nice “date night” for Hubby and I. From Wonderland, the kids picked the “Popcorn Chicken with Vegetables”, “Crispy Mac & Cheese fries”, and a side of cherry tomatoes. Here is the series of texts that I received through dinner:
???
Popcorn Chicken:
Mac & Cheese fries:
Cherry tomatoes:
And condiments were a bust too as they could not figure out how to open them ?
Meanwhile over at Chops....100% wonderful dinner both in service and quality!
Drink Menu:
Dinner Menu:
Ceasar Salad:
(Side note...that Lavender Tonic in the background was delicious!)
Bacon:
Grilled Tofu (personal favourite from CK that I had delivered):
Seafood Tower: delicious, just as many have described.
6oz. Filet Mignon
Sides: Mac & Cheese, Truffle fries, Creamy Spinach, Tater tots
Interesting thing happened tonight at Chops. We ran into the CK manager that we met back in 2017 when we last sailed Harmony. Turns out he received a promotion since we last saw him in 2017 and he is now the speciality restaurant manager on board Harmony. He came to check in on us towards the end of dinner and what a perfect time to bring up my research mission tonight. He asked me what my verdict was and I mentioned to him that I thought CK has a better cut of meat (more tender) but Chops has better flavour. He told me that the cuts of meat are supposedly the same in both restaurants. So, not 100% sure of who I give the edge to. They are very comparable but I still think I prefer the filet at CK slightly over Chops. Nevertheless, we had a fantastic meal tonight!
The bill was even more fantastic!

Day 3: Labadee
Gorgeous day in Labadee today! Lots of sun and not too hot. D10 was in the water almost the entire time and D12 made full use of the cabana. Originally we had a beachfront booked (B2) but switched to an over the water one (W5). Best choice ever! Clear view of the ship, clear view of the D10 in the water and on the beach. And fairly private. I will let the pictures do the talking.
Entry into the Cabana:
Separate entry into the water via a ladder. The other OTW cabanas on the other side have stairs.
And so that @twangsterbot doesn’t have to photoshop me into Labadee anymore, and @rjac requested so nicely.... ?

@WAAAYTOOO always talks about the benefits of star class that cannot be quantified. Here is another example...
Last night, we were supposed to watch The Fine Line at 8:30pm. Midway through dinner, Araceli came to inform us that it was cancelled due to 2 cast memebers being sick and they needed them for the show. Then she told us not to worry, she already reworked everything for us so that we could watch it Night 4 instead and she moved our comedy reservation (originally on Night 4) to tonight. Now, if not for SC, you would at this point be left scrambling to re-work your schedule and hope that something else isn’t filled up so that you can move things around. Even Hubby noticed how seamless the switch was this time.
That left the kids high and dry for entertainment so they told her that they would watch a movie in the room (complimentary movies for SC). Cue Genie magic, this was the movie snack delivery:
When we got the to the comedy show it was packed (probably because The Fine Line was cancelled). The standby line extended almost to the theatre. We asked earlier that she save us a seat on the couch in the middle of the Attic. Sure enough, in the middle of an already packed room, was a double couch with two SC drapes. This was our view:
Standing room only last night.
We ended off the night back in our suite to kids on a sugar high. ??♀️

Dinner Night 2: Jamie’s
Appetizers: Funky Chips, Arancini, Crab & Avacado Brushetta
Kid’s slider burger
Penne Carbonara
Prawn Linguine
Truffle Tagliatelle
Our waitress did not want to give us a dessert menu...
This is why....
Dinner was typical Jamie’s...so great! When we left we could barely move again ?

This made me laugh
And this made me laugh harder
That looks... unsanitary... ?
I am loving all your photos... They are hazardous though, might have checked a few navigator sailings for prices throughout the day. Thank you for sharing!

Day 6 - Curaçao
Walked toward downtown and across the floating bridge. Very pretty town.
The bridge swings open to let ships past such as this tug.

Tonight was the second showing of iSkate in Studio B.
I always take in the skating shows and iSkate did not disappoint.
It starts with drones much like on Symphony. It's hard to capture the drones in still photos because they are choreographed and fly in sync and formation which can only be experienced live in person.
New to Navigator that I don't remember from Symphony is a segment where a lone skater performs with a single drone. They move in coordination and perform together. Set to strings of a solitary violin it is really well done.
It ends with the drone lowering into the hands of the skater.
While Navigator does not have the 'Ice-a-rama" projection system like Symphony that projects video onto the ice surface it's a very engaging show and this cast nailed it perfectly.

Day 5 - Aruba
We arrived just over an hour late due to the medical evacuation on day 4 but since we have an all aboard time of 11:30pm we still have a long day in port.
A short taxi to Eagle Beach in the afternoon and a rare sunset on a beach since we are here so late.

Deedeelynn reacted to Hey Big Spender in Holland America testing additional charge for two entrees
This is the kind of annoyance fee that people hate far beyond the actual cost.
One response might be to drop out of the recommended daily gratuities and use the difference to tip the waiter $10 for the second entree. I bet you will never be charged and your total cost will not change.
There's always a cost to these nuisance fees. Charges for checked luggage have resulted in maximum carryon luggage. This has lengthened boarding times. More time at the gate with engines burning fuel. Free gate checked baggage adds to boarding time. Passengers getting to back rows, no bin space, have to lug their carryons back to the front and get them gate checked.
At some point, this wasted time adds up to a lost flight slot. 200 seats at $250 = $50,000 in revenue. (Aircraft can only make 5 flights instead of 6).
Southwest has become the most profitable airline by eschewing all nuisance fees.

Deedeelynn reacted to Matt in Holland America testing additional charge for two entrees
As someone who regularly orders multiple entrees, this is an awful idea. I get the not wanting to waste, but let's not pretend the galley isn't preparing a ton of food to begin with. Secondly, the portion sizes are much smaller than usual.
It reeks of cost-cutting more than anything, and I sincerely hope this idea dies on the vine.
