Balcony Chairs Zip-tied to Recline Only
MaryCS62 replied to RCDM-123's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
well, earlier this month on odyssey, our JR suite didn't have any, so no issues for us -
always print & bring a paper copy - you never know!!
-
With that in mind, they can change at the last minute, Also, if the current sailing is different from yours in terms of length, the nights will not necessarily be the same. 1st & last nights are usually the same - Welcome aboard & Bon Voyage -- but the others can switch

Coastal Kitchen Reservations
MaryCS62 replied to AndrewOfTheSeas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
just got off Odyssey in a Jr Suite - went to CK shortly after boarding - couldn't get in that night, but he did put us in the next 2 nights - 7 & 730, then told us we had to keep making reservations after each night's dinner. So, we were able to reserve 2 days in advance for each night. We did get later times (8 & 830 , but were told we could show up little early & if they could seat us, they would. Besides the food & service, my favorite part was being out in an hour. -
Prescription milk for daughter who is PEG fed
MaryCS62 replied to jenny clark's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
My TA requested a sharps container & med fridge for me - I got a letter from Royal indicating they got my request for that AND the distilled water for CPAP - which I don't use, didn't ask for & didn't need. Got on board - there was the water. Just gave it back to the room attendant. -
check the website - it should have your setsail pass that you can print out with arrival times on it

Transatlantic virgin question

I have a picture of myself, @ 12 years old, in the 70's, flying from NY to California (dad's company transferred him there) - we were flying first class - I'm wearing a skirt, blouse, blazer, nylons & dress shoes - and the rest of the family was dressed up as well. Last time I flew was about 15 years ago - jeans, t shirt, sneakers.

My older DD had epilepsy, and nighttime seizures could cause incontinence that could exceed the capacity of her disposable underwear. We just packed the disposable pads, AND brought a plastic, zip on mattress cover - stripped the bed, put it on, told our room steward why it was there, and to leave it on when they changed the sheets. Made it much more pleasant for everyone.

although- (maybe because we're only 22 days out?) the only things available to purchase are internet, dining, beverage & shore excursions - no spa, onboard options, entertainment (which had been there), or VIP passes - on the website & the app

THANK YOU!!! saved $55 for our 11 day, 2 device package

How would you change the KEY
MaryCS62 replied to BreakingWaves's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Honestly, the only perk from the Key I would like (aside from the internet, which we do get) would be the bag drop off - I have medical equipment we carry on, which makes the carryon luggage a lot to tote around. The lunch would be nice, but as other people have said, it's not worth the DAILY charge for the Key. At least, not when it is currently (even on sale) twice what I paid for internet. The other options onboard are useless to us - won't use the other options, unless there was a tender port. 20% off at all specialty restaurants throughout your cruise when you make your reservations on Day 1 of the sailing. Subject to availability - nope, wouldn't use Access to the fast lane at onboard activities and private time at the FlowRider®. Activities vary by ship. - nope, wouldn't use Priority ship-to-shore departure at tender ports of call.- would use, but haven't had any in a while Dedicated seating section at shows in the Royal Theater, AquaTheater, Studio B and Two70® (reservations required on Quantum and Oasis Class ships).- nope, wouldn't use - never had a problem getting seats -
Planning a cruise with ADHD can be an adventure.
MaryCS62 replied to BreakingWaves's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
yes - my DH keeps his list "in his head" - which is why, on our last cruise, he didn't have any dress socks packed, just athletic socks. 1st dress up night - bare feet in his dress shoes. The next day, we were in Charleston, SC, and on a carriage ride, we passed a Target, so after it was done, we looped back to the store to buy him socks. "Bill's dress socks" are now on my list.... Weirdly - my dad, who was one of the neatest and most organized people I knew, ended up with so many ties & belts because frequently, when packing for vacation or business trips, he invariably forgot one or the other of them. -

well, on the bright side, at least you hadn't lost them!!! Actually - passports "live" in a certain location in our house, and are only removed for the check in upload and when we are actually packing the carry-on bags, which is the night before we leave. On return home, that's the first thing to unpack. Lists are your friend - I check off as I pack, then I know if I missed anything. -
they were a bit older, but on a cruise 11 years ago (Mom treated the family the year of her 80th bday), my 14 & 17 yo nephews ate like they had been starved for a month prior, and wouldn't eat again for another month. The 14 yo especially - dinner was 2-3 apps, 2 entrees & 2-3 desserts. Of course, they were/are both very active and it never showed on them...

you used [email protected] Try rcldining@ rccl.com - you left out 2 letters
-
at least 15 min prior, I think, then reserved seats get given away. Although I have never used the Key, and I think those reserved seats are in a particular location, so they may get held longer
-
sorry, you are quite right - my bad
-
a colleague from work was on her this summer, and there weren't any

The app is nothing but a headache!

yup, me too - I'm of the belt and suspenders mindset - or, better to have and not need, than need & not have.... -
Freedom doesn't have the freestyle coke machine, which is really the only reason you need the cup. You are limited to getting soda from bars & restaurants, including MDR & Windjammer

are you talking regular pizza, eaten for breakfast, or breakfast pizza with eggs, bacon, cheese, etc?
