  1. If you WISH to show proof of vaccination, go this way. If not, go that way.
  2. Although I have everyone’s vaccine card saved with our passports, all of our tests, vaccines, pcp & specialists visits are done in the same umbrella health care company. When I go to my patient portal or my husband’s, everything is there. I also took a picture of our cards. No sure they would help but it can’t hurt.
  3. Unless you are looking to become a TA yourself, not sure you need the experience.
  4. And my brother & I look alike but not THAT alike! ??
  5. Yes that is the port. Seemed odd to me that we would have a full day at an island a short boat ride for St Thomas ?. Now what do we do there?
  6. I think I am just going to ask the concierge if it would be possible to make reservations for 6 on a night or two. If not, I’ll have them make reservations for 4 and see if I can add the other 2 once on board. Going in with a friendly polite attitude often gets good results ?
  7. Our cruise stops at St Thomas, St John and CocoCay. Beach day will be CocoCay obviously. I’m thinking Charlotte Amalie will be our shopping day (we love browsing shops)? What do we do at St John’s?
  8. Booked Nachi on line with no issues. It’s very quiet and laid back. My understanding is Sancho’s is livelier. I’d base my choice on which experience you’re looking for.
  9. Are they complementary for sky class on Harmony?
  10. So if we have reservations for 4 and 2 of us decide not to go, could I politely ask the host/hostess if my brother/nephew could take their place as they are entitled to CK dinner based on availability.
  11. Ok, not trying to break rules (ok I probably am) but could I give my brother/nephew my card to use if I can’t get reservations for them? So we trade off night to night?
  12. Do they check names at the door?
  13. The only specialty restaurant we have planned is dinner at Izumi for my son, brother and nephew. They are not in our OS (well my son is but not the other 2). They are in a JS. will the concierge make that reservation for 3 for me? Do they care who the 3 are?
  14. First, I am so happy to start a thread that has NOTHING to do with Covid, masks, government agencies or vaccines!!! We will have access to CK for the first time on our Harmony cruise. I know I can expect to be contacted by the concierge prior to boarding. Can I request they make reservations for the 4 of us for every night? Is that overstepping? On nights we know we won’t go, I would most certainly cancel in advance. Do they scan sea passes to get in? Or do you just flash the gold card? (Hubby loves that- such a suite snob). Are menus typically available prior to sailing? I envision everyone looking at the menus and choosing CK, MDR or WJ based on what’s being served & how the wind is blowing any given night. Cruise is too far away!!!! 286 days and counting. ?
  15. Not to mention RCCL’s pattern has been not to cancel until AFTER final payment is due. No need to pay it early.
  16. Sorry, that does not include gratuities. Those will be added once you put the package in your cart.
  17. We have gotten them at the pool bar of every ship we’ve been on.
  18. Mine too. Another bust of a sale. Can I ask, does the price of a single specialty restaurant dinner ever go on sale?
  19. Isn’t CocoCay an island?? Don’t think you can get to an airport by pickup truck ?. As this is RC’s private island, I imagine it’s different than missing the boat at another port. They probably have a method of rounding everyone up. It’s not a huge area.
  20. Then you are not wrong! Timing is everything at Windjammer along with patience.
  21. Not a fan of generalizations, I have had the most perfectly cooked roast chicken in the Windjammer. I always make a point of looking for it. I could (and have) literally eaten nothing but a huge plate of it for dinner. I’m sure there are many other dishes served there that are equally delicious.
  22. Thanks to all for your ideas. This was all much easier when it was just hubby me daughter & son all fitting in one car. But since my brother & nephew signed on, it’s become more complicated. I’m going to price out all you suggestions. ??
  23. I’m not sure you have to “drink like a fish” to make the drink package worth it. I don’t drink in my everyday life but I enjoy drinking on a cruise. My sweet spot for a drink package is $50 plus 18% tip = $59 per day. Average drink price $12 = 5 drinks per day. I like to start the day with a little Baileys in my coffee or a mimosa (or 2), couple of drinks in afternoon poolside, glass of wine with dinner, couple drinks with evening entertainment. Plus I like specialty coffees, bottles of water, diet ginger ale where available. This more than covers the $59 per day. Would I drink like this at home? God no! But I enjoy it on vacation.
  24. Yes that. If there are 3 of you, 3 qt bags can hold a lot of stuff! I’d get a whole bunch of the refillable 3 oz bottles & stuff those bags!
