  1. I have done 26 cruises in the last 20 years and I have only ever printed one set sail pass for the entire family, so I am not sure what people are referencing as one for each person? Every traveler is always listed within the set sail pass.
  2. I am renting a cabana for my march cruise. I plan to go to the desk when I get on board to choose my cabana #, but I only know do to that because of comments in many reviews I have read online.
  3. I was on serenade in September and they did not have it, but my husband and I thought we saw the hardware on the ship for it. I have seen in on both Grandeur and Radiance, and they are fantastic!!!!!
  4. The same is true for the BOGO deal on Grandeur for my march 15th cruise. I purchased it at $30 pp several months ago, but it went up to $40 somewhere around cyber weekend.
  5. I agree. $2000 an expensive price difference esp. with Europe being expensive in itself. We had an inside cabin for both of our med cruises and I still had a blast! Like Alaska, there are plenty of great views from public decks and spaces with a 360 degree view!
  6. I have experienced 70's and 80's on a few of my Alaska cruises at the end of May and had to buy sunscreen on one of them. Often, you only need your winter attire on the glacier viewing day, but raingear is also important.
  7. Awesome photos!!! You captured this beautifully! We have cruised Alaska 4 times. Twice roundtrip Seattle or Vancouver, once out of seward on radiance of the seas like you are posting ( except yours is on Milli), and the most recent on Celebrity Millenium going from Vancouver to Seward and then we went to Anchorage and rented a car to drive to Denali national park. I loved every single trip and did different things each time with a different perspective. We booked a shuttle instead of the train from Anchorage to Seward because we did the Kenai Fjords national park cruise prior to embarkation which is not to be missed. We could have taken the train and still made it. The boat waited for passengers from the train to depart. I was just nervous about making the tight connection and dropping of our luggage beforehand at the port.
  8. I also booked oasis for next november at the black friday/cyber monday sale for the week of thanksgiving.
  9. I did celebrity Solstice last may! It was fantastic and actually less expensive than the RCL sailing. The best part of having a balcony was that we got to sail past the active lava flow going from the HIlo to the Kona side of the island.
  10. yes. Sometimes you do actually need your passport. it always tells you in the cruise planner and on the morning show
  11. Me too! I am sailing Grandeur for my third time in March for st. Patrick's day ( excited for the Charleston stop on St. Patty's day!) It is a small older ship, but our experience with service on that ship is amazing!
  12. For me, it's usually a mojito, but on my last cruise in September, I had white wine with lunch in the windjammer.
  13. Also on both of our hawaii cruises, we have had good luck renting a car on the big island and driving to the volcano park. I also highly recommend purchasing the gypsy guide app for the big island. It is like having a tour guide in your car who tells you interesting facts and where to stop. They have them for all of the islands. We also did a driving tour on the Kona side. We did the road to hana tour in maui last year. It is a must see, but it was a really long day! Not sure I would do it again. Next time I go to maui, I plan on renting a car, and using the GPS guide to drive to O'o organic farms for their farm tour with lunch. It is near the base of Haleakaluh. We tried to get in for our trip last year, but they were booked.
  14. I had a lot of really good luck with tours in Oahu this past May on groupon! I did a photo tour around the island ( my husband and I were the only 2 on the tour), I did a byob catemeran sunset sail ( there was only 6 of us), and I did a hiking tour to makapuu lighthouse. Hiking hawaii cafe picked us up and dropped us off at the port, and my husband and I were the only ones on the morning tour. I highly recommend!
