  1. Why wouldn’t it? There’s no surge protection
  2. That’s really no different than the one I posted. Yours is in a block, my link is flat. Neither have surge protection
  3. We literally booked last minute (this past Saturday). I tried emailing suite concierge but it bounced back. Is this a big deal to be contacted prior? Am I missing important info? I would like to get our dining reservations made but that’s about it. Harmony is the ship.
  4. This apparently is allowed. Our friends brought one just like this on Wonder back in March Limited-time deal: Power Strip with USB, Addtam ETL Certificate Flat Plug Extension Cord with 3 USB Ports, 3 Widely Spaced Outlets, 5 Feet Braided Cord, Desktop Small Travel Power Strip for Cruise Ship, Home, Office https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F59SD3D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dl_61DY0P3636EE44MR8M0E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  5. Has anyone within the past few weeks eaten at CK on Harmony? Our last 2 cruises (Symphony in October and Wonder in March) did not have very good food on the UDP, especially on Wonder. We never ate in MDR and from what I’ve been hearing lately, the MDR on many ships has not been good. 2 1/2 hours for dinner? Im guessing supply chain issues are affecting the quality of the ingredients
  6. We did the third sailing on Wonder and it was great. Obvious staff shortages and food overall was acceptable. (not great) We will likely do the same with Icon depending on when she actually gets here. I’m not a fan of cold weather sailings so if she launches 4th Q or 1st Q, I’ll wait until spring.
  7. I got you beat! Our smallest RC ship was Song of America! (Then monarch, then Sovereign)
  8. So what we know is that it’s been installed on the promenade. Question is: what is it? Hubby thinks it’s a new Death Star as Royal prepares to take over the cruise industry
  9. Can anyone tell me the earliest flight we could try getting off ship in Vancouver and flying out of Seattle? Looking at a 1:54pm. Doable? Also what is currently the best way to get from port to Seattle? I believe the train is not currently running. @smokeybanditany suggestions since you just did this?
  10. I’m considering this. We sail a week from Friday. Not sure if it’s too late.
  11. Check out these offset balconies. I call first dibs on one!
  12. Well this takes us from 9 tests to 6. It’s an improvement but the US needs to drop it’s ridiculous testing requirement. We literally will walk off a ship that has been in the US ALL WEEK, go straight to Vancouver airport and we need a freakin test. Meanwhile you could drive from Seattle across the border, traisp all over Canada for 2 weeks, drive back across the border and no test required. Proof our government is totally dysfunctional
  13. I believe the machines are LaVazza and take their “capsules.” Not K cup compatible. Hopefully someone will correct me if I’m wrong!
  14. I’m seriously considering changing our return flight from Vancouver to Seattle. If we were to test positive, we cannot spare extra days staying in Canada until we test negative. Daughter starts her new job that Monday, I don’t have farm sitter and hubby has to work. I’m starting to get a little nervous one of us will test positive
  15. I’m so sorry this happened. It really does suck. We’ve taken Royal’s insurance several times but after reading the horror stories here, we opted for 3rd party from here on out. Bottom line: you (your brother) trusted the policy would cover anything that happened. It didn’t. Tough lesson to learn. Always read the policy. We went with an Allianz annual policy. It has coverage for Covid too. Best part: we have 5 trips covered for what Royal’s insurance covered for 2 cruises. We also could increase certain coverage. Whether it be trip cancellation, interruption, medical etc. Again sorry he ended up on the wrong end of the policy
  16. No I believe that’ll be with us for at least the rest of the year
  17. PRETTY PLEASE! We end in Vancouver June 3. I’m done with that kind of stupid testing!
  18. Hopefully this means no more “within 270 days of vaccination” too. I really didn’t want the booster. https://www.newsy.com/stories/tourists-rejoice-italy-greece-relax-covid-19-restrictions/?utm_source=MaropostMailing&utm_medium=Email&utm_name=05022022&omhide=true
  19. I have an Airbnb booked for about $200 a night. 2 King beds. I’ll post the link. Might have a minimum stay. https://abnb.me/yzyJZLqwDpb
  20. If you’re on Facebook, join this group and ask. It’s a tour outfit but they are very responsive to questions https://www.facebook.com/groups/455146132364742/?ref=share
  21. We will get our first one on Radiance next month. Since she’s just back in service, I’m hoping there are blocks. However I’d prefer they mail it. I’ve heard they’re quite heavy. I plan to visit the LA within the first day or so. It’ll be a great souvenir of our first Alaska cruise
  22. I think we may just test at the airport. This testing is getting ridiculous. We have test for the land tour, then test again before embarking then test again to get back into the US. Here’s an option at YVR https://bookings.covid-medical.ca/?fbclid=IwAR34Aw97_bQos8vTqid5M6zlH4HGpTbopM-fh4npKdbUSQ1EMUv3KspJsAc#/customer/yvr
  23. Sip on ginger ale. Maybe head to Izumi and see if they will slice you fresh ginger.
  24. The panhandlers/beach bag/braiders/massage ladies have been an issue for a long time there. I want say back in 2019 the police were cracking down it so much so that they would all scatter if they saw the police. We were there in 2017,2018,2019, 2021 and 2022. After Covid they are all back in full force. We have our favorite locals too and they take care of us like your Leo. Our massage lady (Sandy) always tells us who to stay away from! She’s awesome
