Looking for Compass for Navigator OTS
Matt replied to Boo's Mom's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Ask and ye shall receive. Here's one from August 9, 2015: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/navigator-of-the-seas/sun-2015-08-09-0000 -
Since Dynamic Dining expansion is not happening, it should be a traditional main dining room.

Regardless of what they told you over the phone, I would still ask when you get onboard. Worst thing they will say is no!

Here's a blog post all about opening up the balcony partitions on a Royal Caribbean cruise! http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2014/12/30/royal-caribbean-secrets-opening-the-balcony-dividers

I can vouch for this site's sponsor travel agency, MEI-Travel. I would come up with a list of a handful of questions you have concerns about so that any agency you work with can address as part of your selection process. I think you're doing the right thing using a travel agent to coordinate a group cruise. It will make your life so much easier.

And the med facility is below us

prebooking specialty dining - question about OBC
Matt replied to pepperandchips's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
My expectation is it's per stateroom. So if book 3 and your mom (who is in another stateroom) books 3, you should both get the bonus onboard credit. -
I am too!

It works with a TV. You just plug it into your TV's HDMI port and then switch your input and that's it. It connects to your wifi at home and you can get tons of apps for free!

Sounds like someone needs to make an emergency trip to Amazon today! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00INNP5VU/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00INNP5VU&linkCode=as2&tag=royalcacom-20&linkId=QXTWKU45V2TGVJEF

Problem averted. Another stateroom opened up. Same deck but not under MDR. I am, however, over the medical facility but I still think it's a better move.

Always a good tip. Keep the SeaPass away from phones/tablets or computers which have magnets as well. Welcome to the boards!

It will be repeated many times. That channel has limited programming, but since I love seeing these documentaries over and over again I do not mind!

Also, congratulations on booking your first cruise!

Keep in mind the sail time is not the time you have to be onboard. Embarkation takes a lot of time and I would not be surprised to hear you have to board a few hours earlier. The reason for this is there are muster drills that have to be competed and a list of all that are sailing given to local authorities. I would recommend arriving to your ship well in advance of that 6pm sail time. I always get there as early as possible. If you want to do some sightseeing in Dubai, I would do that in the day(s) leading up to your cruise.

You will find Orlando hotels usually less expensive (way more hotel choices in Orlando) but being at the port will save you commuting time the day of your cruise. We usually stay in Orlando and then do a one-way rental car. I would look at hotel prices at both Orlando and Port Canaveral and then compare that with rental car prices. Keep your options open in that way. I think a rental car will be less expensive than Royal Caribbean's transfers.

I think you will find this post very helpful: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2014/06/03/cruising-101-seapass-account Your final bill is not charged to your CC until the last day of your cruise. So you have until that point to pay it off in cash or change to a different card.

Splendour of the Seas, sold to Thomson
Matt replied to Philowen's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I definitely would not be worried about the quality of the ship in the months leading up to her sale. Royal Caribbean will still offer a quality cruise experience and are not going to shirk on the ship just because it is about to be sold. -
I haven't used those but I agree using third party tag holders make the new tags much better overall.

Great comments, thank you for sharing! Royal Caribbean does tend to infrequently enforce its rules, which is frustrating as a guest. I don't mind the rules but when you adhere to them and others do not it does send the wrong message. I've thought on a few occasions to speak to the head waiter as to why the rules are not more stringently followed but others have pointed out what others do in terms of clothes to wear should not impact me and it's true. Our family enjoys getting dressed up for dinner, so for us we do what we like and try not to worry about others.

I liked the old luggage tags but honestly the printable luggage tags are simpler (you never can run out) and I just use luggage holders that work really well. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009PGOCUE/ref=as_sl_pc_tf_lc?tag=royalcacom-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B009PGOCUE&adid=173KZPSGYVET5HCAX5ZN&&ref-refURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.royalcaribbeanblog.com%2Froyal-caribbean-luggage-tags

Isn't that the best feeling when your cruise reaches the top?
