Yes, Izumi is the Japanese restaurant that specializes in sushi My Time dining means instead of going to the main dining room at a preset time, you can show up anytime or make a reservation in advance and be seated on your schedule. You may not have the same table mates or waiters

On Radiance class, I know that while the roof can retract, I've heard it rarely does. -

I'm surprised the TripAdvisor reviews are only so-so for a Hilton resort. The hotel in Fort Lauderdale I always hear good things about for people taking a cruise is the Embassy Suites. It's good and right at the port. The other good one is the Holiday Inn, which has park and shuttle included.

Sometimes it feels good to be wrong!

It's my guess that the deal they do is remove discounts on the cruise fare by offering you the drink package instead. Walt Disney World does this with their free dining package. They offer you their dining plan for free but they force you to pay rack rate for their hotel rooms. It's still a cost savings in the grand scheme of things but it's not the steal it may sound like.

Final payment is due 75 days before a 7-night cruise (60 for 3-5 night cruises). So you have up to that point to cancel any deposit you make. You can change or cancel without penalty. Heck, you can keep the deposit and change it to a different cruise in the future and keep doing that until you are ready to really book something. Just be sure to watch that final payment date. By not booking at that time, you risk the price increasing and/or inventory of the stateroom you want being taken. In general, you have nothing to lose by putting a deposit down and seeing where you are at final payment date other than the deposit amount in the short term. In terms of your kids, book the maximum possibility and then before final payment, adjust as necessary. It's easy enough to remove people from a reservation but adding them back in is much more difficult.

It's a cool video. We posted the video on the blog: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/02/12/video-inside-look-the-it-room-royal-caribbeans-quantum-of-the-seas

I really love walkthrough videos. It's like being there on the ship!

Windjammer has food throughout the day. On Quantum of the Seas, it's open 24 hours! It's always buffet style, no matter what time of day and Windjammer does not have the dress code that the main dining room has. So you can go to Windjammer in sweats on formal night without a problem!

That's good info. I had heard about the free drink offer (RC CEO Michael Bayley mentioned that the other day) but the BOGO deal too with it is news to me. Thanks for sharing!

Usually the primary benefit of Boardwalk or Central Park balconies is they are a little cheaper than ocean view balconies, so it gets you a balcony experience for less money. If your goal is to see the AquaTheater from your balcony, I think you'd have to be in a suite to really get that sort of experience.

I do this too, often just to get a quick Royal Caribbean "fix" between trips! :)

A guaranteed stateroom means you will get a stateroom assigned to you that is guaranteed to be of that category but you don't get to pick which one. The advantage is you get a bit of a break on the price. If you have a room number then you don't fall into that category and have a reserved stateroom.
