I agree. It does seem from my observations they are more common today than a few months ago, but still no sure way to know.

Do you think Diamond or D+ discount is better? I bought Voom with the 30% off deal, primarily to break up the cost of the cruise. Not 100% certain it will save me money as a Diamond member.

Thanks for the report!

Thanks for the info. Those drink cards are always a solid deal, especially because you can share them!

All of my cruises to the Caribbean have been 1pm

I still see it for my sailing (and I booked it). Which sailings get a discount seems to vary.

RC offering 20% off drink packages on the ships?
Matt replied to Rocktheseas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I've never seen discounts on the drink package once onboard. Certainly not on day one. Granted, YMMV. -
Periscopes & Pictures: Anthem of the Seas June 11-16, 2016

Wow, what a story for your first day! Like you said, it is why you always leave at least a day early for your cruise. -
Mallory Square is probably a good idea

I was kind of surprised to see that. -
Adventure of the Seas Updated Update

Yes, it appears Izumi is slotted for the Sports Bar location. Izumi on the Promenade is a fist for any RC ship. And it appears the Dunes are going to be still on deck 13 -
Are there any wine only packages for dining?
Matt replied to t18c97's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Yes, you just bring your wine to any restaurant (MDR or specialty restaurant) and they will open, serve and store it for you. -

Freedom of the Seas Group Cruise Roll Call
Matt replied to Christie's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I likely won't be there, BUT I do think Disney Springs is the best spot to meet up. No park admission required, easy parking and plenty of options. -
No worries :)
-
Good point. In that case, it's not as bad as the 4-5 day cruises from Florida that leave on Mondays.
-
Absolutely. This is a hidden gem

I can't help with your specific question, but I recently went on a RC cruise and had a similar question about pricing for my 1 year old. If all else fails, consider waiting to book the excursion until you get onboard and then ask the Shore Excursion desk about it. Their site can be ambiguous about these kinds of edge-cases.

Freedom of the Seas Group Cruise Roll Call
Matt replied to Christie's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yes it is. I'm staying by the port and was thinking about something similar for folks also staying near Port Canaveral. -
Any and all Cruise Compass' I run across I post here: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass

I would contact Royal Caribbean directly.

Accurate (and really quick to pick up on that)

In general, yes. Royal Caribbean usually has no problems taking more money ;)

As a Royal Caribbean fan, I know what the TA was alluding to. Going from Liberty to Majesty would have been a pretty big change in many different areas. Heck, going from Voyager/Freedom/Quantum/Oasis class to Radiance, Vision or Sovereign class is a big difference. I think we all agree that size and/or age does not correlate directly to a positive or negative experience. Enchantment and Brilliance are both great ships. I do think it is important to know the difference and manage expectations. I remember on my 4-night Brilliance cruise, a guy next to me at the pool was complaining about how there wasn't as much to do on Brilliance compared to his recent Oasis cruise. Well.....yea! I agree with others I would have no problem with shorter cruises on Navigator or Independence, which are certainly not small or old ships. And Enchantment and Brilliance are great choices too. I love taking cruises in general, but 3-4 night cruises are a tease. L454S brought up a great point about the costs and value from a shorter cruise. If you are just looking for a getaway cruise, that's fine but it's important to understand what ship you pick and the differences compared to Liberty. Also, be sure to keep in mind most 4-5 night cruises sail over the week, so if you are going to take 4 days off of work for a cruise, just go for a 7-night cruise and tack on one more vacation day. :)
