  1. The wine allowance does not change based on cruise length
  2. Was El Palomar the place that was closed when we went?
  3. Not sure of their hours, but I'd expect them to be open 2-3pm.
  4. To be fair, I never assumed the Excursions staff were any kind of experts on the destinations we visit. They are there to take orders and answer basic questions about the excursions offered. Granted, after a number of cruises they often get a good feel for these ports, but I wouldn't figure them to be local experts. Or am I missing the point of the original post?
  5. The Adventure Ocean Cruise Compass really does not change much. If you have one from past couple of years, I doubt you will find much variation.
  6. Comidas Caseras Tonita is my favorite. Very affordable! https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2014/03/10/restaurant-review-comidas-caseras-tonita
  7. Just rolled out a new update. I didn't realize there was a UI update, but there it is!
  8. I like doing a little bit of everything. Get a driver for the day and do Brunch in Marigot Shopping in Grand Case Beach time at Orient Beach Late lunch Phillipsburg + shopping
  9. My recommendation is to do it. It saves you time, and I'd rather take 5 minutes to do this at home than take 5 minutes in the port to do it.
  10. Check out this link: https://www.momsoftheseas.com/blog/royal-caribbeans-adventure-ocean-basics
  11. I would love for you to join us!
  12. We get a good mix of folks, but you definitely should not feel like the new kid at school.
  13. Good to know. I don't mind cold, but rainy and cold is no bueno
  14. Great to hear! Feel free to ask any questions in these forums!
  15. One strategy you can use is to search YouTube for videos of Grandeur. Filter it to videos from last 1-2 years (so that you know you have recent info) and look for walk through videos. I think that will put your mind at ease.
  16. Great review, thank you for sharing. I have a couple of questions for you.... You mentioned internet was spotty. Since you are in Alaska, how is the cell signal there? Or is there no cell service once on the ship? It sounds like your Uber idea was nixed because of surge pricing. Were you able to take the shuttle without a reservation? Is it located in the airport? What day did your cruise depart? I was surprised to hear it was chilly in July! Did not expect it to be 90, but I enjoy a good chill. Was the Solarium open to all guests?
  17. Ignore all the reviews. Seriously. I can find you negative online reviews of Star Wars, puppies and ice cream. All it means is some people have no soul different tastes, but I recommend not relying on the reviews in picking a cruise ship. I've found these reviews to be notoriously unreliable.
  18. Correct, if you can print, then you are all set!
  19. I believe the reason you cannot figure it out is because I did not share the replay from last night. I did a quick Instagram Live during lunch and it is showing up now.
  20. Adventure Ocean opens usually at 7pm every night. Embarkation day will have odd hours. On sea days, Adventure Ocean is usually open 9-12, 2-5 and 7-10. You can pay for 10-2am for hourly fee. On port days, Adventure Ocean is open whenever the ship is in port and then resumes its "normal" hours listed for sea days.
  21. Correct, the one across the harbor from where cruise ships dock for the day. It should be pretty inexpensive. Heck, use Uber and you can use a fare estimator to get a ballpark idea. Yes, boarding times are same as any other port. Port opens for new cruisers in the 10am hour, boarding likely in the 11am hour.
  22. While we will miss you, Meatloaf says two out of three ain't bad!
  23. Doubt it will work. I mean, you could use refillable mug RC gives you and load up yours, but sounds cumbersome. You never know, perhaps a bartender will do it anyway but I wouldn't bet on it.
