Pack your bags, Swifties — another Taylor Swift-themed cruise is on its way!

Liberty of the Seas

Fans looking to step into their cruising era will be excited to learn that another Taylor Swift–themed sailing is planned for next year. Hosted by Straight Away Travel, the 4-night Girlhood Getaway will be called “Karma is a Cruise".

The upcoming Taylor Swift–themed cruise will set sail on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas from February 16–20, 2026. “Karma is a Cruise” will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with ports of call in the Bahamas, including Nassau and Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. The sailing also features one day at sea, which is expected to include themed activities and events for Taylor Swift fans.

The upcoming cruise follows the success of last year’s Taylor Swift–themed sailing aboard Allure of the Seas. Now, fans can set sail again for another group cruise filled with friendship bracelets, themed events, and nods to the singer’s discography.

Jamie from Straight Away Travel has curated the private group experience aboard Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas. According to the agency’s website, Girlhood Getaways are known for cultivating an inclusive community centered on empowerment, authenticity, and fearlessness.

“Get ready for something truly special — this isn’t just a cruise, it’s a celebration of All Things Girlhood! Jamie is planning a lineup of exclusive onboard experiences just for our group, all designed around friendship, empowerment, and embracing who we are — loud, proud, and unapologetically our true selves,” states the website.

While the full schedule is still being finalized, Straight Away Travel has outlined a variety of themed activities planned for the group that include:

  • Welcome meet-and-greet reception

  • Friendship bracelet-making sessions and trading

  • Themed trivia and lyric-based games

  • Costume night inspired by various Taylor Swift eras

  • Karaoke and dance events

  • Curated photo stations and onboard photo opportunities

According to Straight Away Travel, the organized event is meant to build a sense of community among Swifties by encouraging participation and recreating the fan experiences that have become central to Taylor Swift’s cultural influence.

In addition to the organized events, Taylor Swift fans can take advantage of the many amenities available aboard Liberty of the Seas. The Freedom class vessel features popular onboard attractions, multiple pools, world-class entertainment, and a wide selection of complimentary and specialty dining options.

Cabins are available for booking with double occupancy rates for the February 2026 sailing. Prices start at $594 per person for an interior stateroom, $746 for an Oceanview stateroom, and $829 per person for balcony cabins.

Taylor Swift fans wanting to secure their spot will need to provide a non-refundable deposit of $200 per stateroom at the time of booking. Rates include the stateroom, taxes, and port fees but exclude gratuities, travel insurance, drink packages, dining packages, and optional Royal Caribbean activities.

This isn’t the first Taylor Swift fan cruise.

Straight Away Travel isn’t the first travel agency to organize a Taylor Swift-themed cruise. Back in October 2024, Marvelous Mouse Travels hosted another successful fan-focused event for Taylor Swift fans. This group cruise was called “In My Cruise Era” and took place aboard Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas.

That voyage brought together Swifties from across the country for a 3-night sailing built around the same core themes of connection, community, and mutual love of Taylor Swift.

Swifties sailing aboard Allure of the Seas enjoyed organized fan meetups, friendship bracelet exchanges, dance parties, and late-night karaoke. In addition, Taylor Swift fans attended nightly eras-themed parties where cruisers dressed up as their favorite album era.

Taylor Swift fans and cruisers alike…. Are You Ready For It? And by it, we mean a Taylor Swift Fan group cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas.

If you are a fan of Taylor Swift and love to cruise, there's a sailing for you.

Marvelous Mouse Travels announced a 4-night group cruise will take place in October 2024 that will focus on celebrating all things Taylor Swift. The travel agents are huge fans of Taylor Swift and therefore wanted to coordinate a fun getaway for other Swifties to celebrate their love of Taylor Swift.

This special sailing sets sail the day after Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour comes to Miami on October 21, 2024. Whether you’ve snagged tickets to the concert or you simply want to meet other Swifts, the group cruise is open to all fans of Ms. Swift.

It’s time to pack away your cardigans and set sail with fellow Swifties into the gorgeous sunsets of the Bahamas. Even better: You won’t need to wait in the dreaded Ticketmaster queue to attend this Swiftie gathering!

Allure of the Seas

During the Taylor Swift Fan group cruise, Taylor Swift fans will enjoy cocktail parties, Taylor Trivia, themed dance parties, friendship bracelet swapping and Taylor-themed karaoke. All events are included in the cruise fare and exclusive to those participating in the group cruise.

According to the agency, there’s already been a huge demand for the Taylor Swift Fan group cruise. Thanks to TikTok, many Swifties have already secured their cabins onboard the sailing. In fact, the travel agents said they needed to request additional cabins onboard Allure of the Seas to meet the popular demand!

However, it’s important we make it abundantly clear that Marvelous Mouse Travels is not affiliated or endorsed by TASRM or Taylor Swift. Sadly, Taylor Swift herself will not be making any appearances on this cruise. Instead, this is meant to be a fun gathering for all fans of Taylor Swift to share in their love of the global pop star.

Group cruises are organized sailings that allow fans to sail together onboard a cruise while participating in group activities

Mama Mia

Royal Caribbean has a long-standing reputation of building some of the biggest and most innovative cruise ships in the world, making Allure of the Seas an excellent choice to host a group cruise.

Most often, you’ll book group cruises through a travel agency to ensure you have access to all the exclusive, organized events that take place on the ship. During the cruise, group cruisers take part in special events and activities with fellow group cruisers.

Marvelous Mouse Travels states, “The cruise fare also includes special themed activities available on this sailing only. Details will be released soon, but you can expect Taylor inspired theme nights and activities like Taylor karaoke, trivia, scavenger hunts, door decorating contests and more!”

However, you won’t be spending every waking moment of your cruise doing group activities. On most group cruises, there are one or two daily planned events throughout the sailing. In this way, you can still find time to yourself onboard your cruise if you need to recharge your social battery.

How much does it cost to sail on the Taylor Swift Fan group cruise?

Balcony room

Prices for the organized group cruise start at $1,573 for two guests, depending on which stateroom you choose to book. Balcony staterooms - dubbed “Karma is the breeze in my hair on the weekend” for this special sailing - will cost more $1,967.

As with any cruise, you will need to take into consideration what type of stateroom you want to sail in to budget appropriately. According to the information page, Boardwalk Balconies are already sold out for the Swiftie Group Cruise.

To book your spot onboard the Swiftie group cruise, you’ll want to book directly with Marvelous Mouse Travels. The organizers note that events will have capacity limits and only those who book directly with the agency will be guaranteed a spot for events during the group cruise. Because of this, if you choose to book independently, you might not be able to participate in all of the activities during the cruise.

Airfare is not included in the cruise fare. You will also need to book your own drink package, shore excursions, specialty dining and internet. These are available for pre-purchase through the cruise planner or you can book onboard; however, the fare for the Taylor Swift Fan cruise does not include these premium add-ons.

This won’t be the first time Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas will been filled with Taylor Swift fans

It might be hard to believe now, but Taylor Swift once performed live onboard Allure of the Seas for a small stadium of fans before she was the A-list superstar she is today.

Back in January 2011, Taylor Swift performed onboard Allure of the Seas, which was the world’s newest and largest cruise ship at the time. The concert was in front of about 735 passengers, although Allure of the Seas can hold 5,400 passengers at maximum capacity.

On January 21, 2011, Taylor Swift performed a live concert for cruisers when the ship was docked in Cozumel. The small concert look place on Allure of the Seas’ signature AquaTheatre. In an interview after her performance, Taylor noted how Allure’s AquaTheatre was such a unique venue for her to perform at. She shared how cool it was to see fans not only in the amphitheater itself, but also fans watching from their Boardwalk Balconies above the stage.

While most performances on cruise ships coincide with the launch of a new ship, Taylor’s performance on Allure of the Seas did not. At the time, Taylor Swift was planning to embark on her Speak Now tour following her third album release.

If you wanted to attend the concert in the AquaTheatre, guests needed to earn a pass for the performance. During the cruise, Allure of the Seas hosted multiple contests and opportunities for guests to earn a coveted ticket for the concert. Some of these included Taylor karaoke and a Taylor Swift lookalike contest. Since the AquaTheatre can hold less than 800 people on Allure of the Seas, passes to the concert - even then - were hard to come by.

Many Swifties (myself included) begged their parents to cruise on Allure of the Seas for the chance to see Taylor Swift in such an unconventional venue. One could argue that Taylor Swift is the biggest star to ever perform on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

Taylor Swift continues to be a massive pop-star with her chart-topping music and wildly popular stadium tour

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that Taylor Swift has quite literally been boosting the economy with the unprecedented demand for her tour. Between her Grammy-nominated album releases and three-hour-long Eras concert tour, Taylor Swift is the biggest name in pop culture.

For many Swifties, the tour has become more than just a concert - it’s an opportunity to meet other like-minded fans. Call it what you want, but Ms. Swift’s popularity has cultivated a community filed with dedicated and passionate fans.

Fans bonding over a mutual love of Taylor Swift makes the perfect opportunity for a marvelous time onboard Allure of the Seas. You’re sure to be enchanted meeting so many Swifties onboard!

I went on my first Royal Caribbean Blog group cruise and sailed with super cruise fans. Here's what it was like and why I'd do it again.

In:

I recently participated in my first-ever Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise, and it was so much more fun than I expected.

Long before I was a writer for Royal Caribbean Blog, I was a fan. It was actually my husband that discovered the blog, and we were impressed with the accuracy of the information and enjoyed the live streams and videos.

A couple times a year, Royal Caribbean Blog hosts a group cruise in conjunction with MEI Travel, the blog’s travel agency partner. These group cruises allow fans to sail together while participating in group activities both onboard and in port, including pub crawls and shore excursions.

When I saw that there would be a group cruise out of Port Canaveral last December, I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. Not only did my husband and I book the cruise, but my parents booked a cabin too.

Boarding the ship, I really had no idea what to expect. Truth be told, I get nervous in group settings, so I wasn’t sure it would be something I’d enjoy, but it ended up being a blast!

Here’s what it’s like to participate in a Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise and how you can book one of these exciting sailings.

Booking a Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise

Wonder of the Seas in St Thomas

We typically book our own cruises, but for the group cruise, we booked with MEI Travel. Booking through MEI Travel means we could participate in all group activities onboard.

While we still could have participated in some group activities if we booked the cruise ourselves, there were other activities exclusive to those that booked with MEI Travel. I wanted to make sure I got to do everything that was offered, so we booked with the travel agency.

Originally, the cruise was supposed to be on Harmony of the Seas. It was a 6-night sailing in December that went to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Cozumel, and Costa Maya.

After booking it, Royal Caribbean changed the ship to Wonder of the Seas, but did not charge anything extra to passengers who had originally booked Harmony of the Seas.

What a treat it was to be able to cruise on the brand new ship at a discounted price!

Our first Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise event was on embarkation day.

The group cruise’s first meet and greet event was scheduled after 4PM on embarkation day. This gave everyone enough time to board the ship, do some exploring, and have time to put their carry-on items away once the cabins were available.

For this event, we met in the Music Hall. We checked in with a member of MEI Travel and were given a lanyard showing we were part of the group.

The bar staff walked by with trays of complimentary drinks. We opted for the sex on the beach cocktails and raspberry champagne. The bar was also open for those that wanted to purchase their own favorite beverage.

There was a live band on the stage, and most of the group congregated around the bar to mingle.

The second day of our cruise brought us to Perfect Day at CocoCay. After our port day, we enjoyed another group event in the evening.

Since we were in Perfect Day at CocoCay on the second day of our cruise, our next group event wasn’t until 8PM that evening.

Having the event in the evening gave us flexibility to spend our day however we wanted. We opted to stay on the ship while in port to do more exploring, and we were able to enjoy dinner at Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar.

At 8PM, we met up with the group at the Rising Tide Bar, the bar that travels up and down between the Royal Promenade and Central Park neighborhoods.

The Rising Tide Bar meetup was more subdued and it was easier to hold a conversation compared to the one in the Music Hall. I enjoyed the more intimate setting.

Day three of our cruise had three separate group cruise events, all of which were fun ways to connect with other fans onboard.

It was back to the Music Hall for the first event of the day with the guitarist from the pub providing entertainment. There was a beautiful table set up on the dance floor with muffins, pastries, and coffee. The event was scheduled from 10AM to 12PM.

Unfortunately, we only caught the tail end of the event due to the Crown & Anchor Society’s Top Tier Event being scheduled at the same time. We attended the Top Tier Event to receive our 1050 point milestone recognition and to watch my parents turn Pinnacle!

Immediately after the Music Hall gathering was the second event of the day, and the first event of the cruise exclusive to those who booked the sailing directly with MEI Travel.

This event was a private lunch in the Main Dining Room. There were three choices for appetizers and entrees—I opted for the classic cobb salad and grilled ribeye. Everyone enjoyed New York cheesecake for dessert, and everything was delicious. We were seated at a large table and were able to chat and get to know more of our fellow Royal Caribbean Blog fans.

We went straight to the Schooner Bar after lunch to start the final event of the day: the bar crawl! Practically all of our group had the drink package, so this was a popular event. We used our free Crown & Anchor Society drink coupons and ordered Schooner Bar’s signature drink, the lavender daiquiri, which coincidentally is one of my favorites.

The next stop on the crawl was the Cask & Clipper, the English pub. The group opted for Irish car bombs, and they had put in their order while we were still at the Schooner Bar, so the staff had time to prepare them for our arrival. I just stuck with martinis—this time a lemon drop.

The third bar of our crawl was Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade. Their signature beverage, the knockout punch, is my favorite. Since we were on the Boardwalk, some of the group caught a ride on the carousel before we headed to our final stop.

We ended the bar crawl in Matt’s AquaTheater suite. His Royal Genie had arranged a bar to be set up on their balcony, and the views from the balcony were amazing. We could watch the show’s performers practicing in the AquaTheater’s pool and enjoy a view of the ship’s wake.

A port stop in Costa Maya featured a private beach excursion with the group.

On day four, we were treated to a private excursion at Maya Chan Beach Resort. This excursion was only for those who had booked through MEI Travel.

I had never been to Maya Chan, so I was surprised that it was a half hour drive from the cruise port. Some of the roads to get there were extremely bumpy, but the drivers tried to make the trip as comfortable as possible. After all, they take this route every day so they were familiar with the conditions of the roads.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff and given a tour of the area before being shown to our own private section of the beach. We were offered complimentary beverages along with tortilla chips, guacamole, and pico de gallo while waiting for lunch to be served.

There were canoes and stand-up paddle boards for our use. For a nominal fee, you could have a massage on the beach, which my husband was eager to partake in!

Our authentic Mexican buffet lunch included items such as flour tortillas with chicken, beef, and pulled pork, along with Mexican rice and a selection of homemade salsas. Everything was delicious!

The staff at Maya Chan was amazing. They were friendly, attentive, and even came around to each family to schedule our return time back to the ship. It was a perfect day.

There were no group activities scheduled the next day in Cozumel, but the final day of our cruise brought two more meetups.

Since we were porting in Cozumel on day five, we did not have any group events scheduled.

The first event on day six, the last day of our cruise, was the only one I missed. The event was an hour (8AM-9AM) of private time at the ship’s Perfect Storm waterslides, and was another exclusive event for passengers who booked with MEI Travel.

Instead, I opted for brunch with my family at The Mason Jar (where I wouldn’t need to get my hair wet!).

At 11AM, we met up in the Music Hall to watch Matt from Royal Caribbean Blog and Beci from MEI Travel record a podcast highlighting the events of the group cruise. That was the last official event, however I did run into a bunch of our members in the casino having shots! Later, they moved into the smaller Golden Room casino for some table games.

I loved my first Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise. Here’s how you can participate in the next one.

What I loved most about the Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise is that it was the perfect blend of planned events along with plenty of free time to make the cruise your own. It almost felt like two cruises in one!

We had a great time with the group, and then enjoyed quiet time in the Suite Lounge and dinners in Coastal Kitchen.

If you want to participate in a Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise, you can find more information on upcoming sailings here. Booking the cruise with MEI Travel gives you access to exclusive events throughout the sailing.

There are currently four more group cruises planned:

  • June 16, 2023 on Navigator of the Seas, sailing from Los Angeles
  • October 22, 2023 on Serenade of the Seas, sailing from Boston
  • March 16, 2024 on Rhapsody of the Seas, sailing the Panama Canal from Colón
  • June 29, 2024 on Icon of the Seas, sailing from Miami

How to find which groups are on your Royal Caribbean cruise

In:

For better or worse, plenty of groups plan cruises aboard Royal Caribbean cruises.  These group cruises range from just a few cabins to enough people to actually charter an entire cruise ship.  On any given cruise, there may be a few groups onboard with you and often our readers ask how to find out which groups are cruising with you.

To be clear, groups that cruise are not organized by Royal Caribbean but are instead third-party groups.  As an example, this web site is organizing a Royal Caribbean Blog Group Cruise on Quantum of the Seas and very much organizing things on our own.  Groups can be centered around sports teams, affiliations, professions, lifestyles and more.

Larger groups can cause some of the public venues to be closed to the rest of the passengers at different times because they've rented it out. Large groups can congregate in areas, making access difficult for others and they can be loud. These are generalizations and more often they do not cause issues that you will likely notice.

Regardless of which group is cruising, some people want to know about this ahead of time because there may be a personal conflict.  As an example, if a Red Sox fans group cruise was being organized on the same sailing that you're going on and you happen to be a Yankees fan, then perhaps you'd prefer to avoid a cruise with a hundred Red Sox fans.  Alternatively, you'd like to know so you can order Derek Jeter banners to post on your stateroom door.

How to find groups on your cruise

Royal Caribbean does not list nor will they divulge groups sailing on any itinerary.  It's a matter of privacy in the same way you may not want Royal Caribbean telling others when you are sailing.

Thanks to the Internet, there are ways to find out which groups are sailing or at least most groups sailing.  Doing an internet search will do the trick and here's how.

Go to Google and search for a few different search strings related to your sailing.  Here is the syntax of a few search strings worth trying.

"SHIP NAME" "DATE"
"SHIP NAME" "DATE" group
"Royal Caribbean" "DATE"

The quotes around the words tell google to search for that phrase.  So if your ship is Allure of the Seas, it will search for "Allure of the Seas" as one term rather than the words Allure, of, the, and seas.

Example

Let's use my upcoming Navigator of the Seas cruise as an example.  I'm sailing on February 9, 2014 and this is a good way to figure out who else is going.

I did searches for

  • "Navigator of the Seas" "February 9"
  • "Navigator of the Seas" "February 9" 2014
  • "Navigator of the Seas" "February 9" group
  • "Royal Caribbean" "February 9"

You will find a lot of results, most of which aren't relevant but within about five minutes I found 4 groups on our cruise.

None of the groups listed here indicate how many people are in each group but certain group cruises do mention how many people attended last year or how many they expect this year.

I also found some other travel agent listings for my cruise but nothing that really looked like an organized group of any substantial size would be there.  You may point out not every group has a web site but groups that have enough people attending to make it fairly large usually do have a website for getting important information out there and generating sales leads.

The fact is most groups on cruises are tame and everyone, regardless of group, is subject to the same rules Royal Caribbean institutes for all of its guests.  Groups traveling on a cruise isn't limited to just Royal Caribbean cruise line or even cruises in general.  Since some people want to know, now you know how.
