In general, I always advise leaving yourself at least an hour or two buffer. I'm also extremely paranoid about remotely being close to missing the ship, so I provide myself way too much extra time. St. Thomas is notorious for traffic in the afternoon. It also depends which dock your ship is at. Havensight is further away from Emerald beach.
