Out of curiosity..

1) what is the average folio credit you are given if you reach 5k casino points on a cruise?

2) can this folio credit be applied to daily inboard gratuities, other gratuities?

thanks

I would say $0.00. I have asked after 15,000 points and it was a speciality dinner comped and some inexpensive wine.

Gotcha thanks.. i had about $150 i think in my last cruise and i think it covered some alcohol bottle purchases. Trying to be more deliberate this time.. not wanting to leave any money on the table

It might also depend heavily on the ships host. On Wonder I had little to no luck with comps but Icon was a bit better. Freedom I recall being ok as well.

It’s very random. Many say it has to do with your losses, not your points. Also, potential impacts: how much you might chit chat with the host,  the host personality. Additionally I think hosts are more aware of their signature(25k points per casino year) and masters (100k points per casino year) players not necessarily aware of the rest- prime(2,500 pts per casino year)  or choice (under 2,500 pts)  I know one time I saw a list of signature players asking with their photos on the host desk-they also tend to come and say hello to those players-though not all do.

I've had things purchased in the shop credited when I lost money and had 5k+ points. On Icon I walked off with lots of $ and 9k points and was not credited for a ship model purchase. It does depend on your stats, loss and host.  I don't think it covers gratuities or casino charges if they do credit you. I was told on the signature cruise they start looking at people's account when they have 5k or more points on the sailing.
