Price hike on drink packages

Is it just me or have drink packages sky rocketed? I couldn’t believe that the retail price for the Refreshment package is $40 USD /day for my upcoming Harmony cruise next March. Even with discount promotions of 30% off it brings it to to retail price that it used to be. Crazy price for Americano and bottled water!

If that's all you want, have you looked into ordering a case of bottled water and getting a coffee card?

If you also drink soda, mocktails, etc. and just didn't mention it, disregard.

The prices haven't skyrocketed. The quietly went up in 2023 and have stayed the same baseline until there is a sale. I am assuming you haven't bought said items in actual retail because those prices have indeed skyrocketed. It is $9.99 for a 12pk of soda. Water which used to be 24pks for $3/4 are now $6+ and in Chicago a .05 tax is added on each bottle in the pk.

My wife would bankrupt me with the amount of bottled water she drinks, lol. $6.49 for a 40-pack of spring water (most common local brand) at Costco here and no crazy added per bottle tax... and those of course used to be at least $1 less like everything else.

The water tax in Chicago is ridiculous. I buy a 24pk two-three times a year (for miscellaneous times) and just use refillable water bottles with my Pur filter for the sink now. It is part of the reason I don't see the cost of the drink packages on cruise ships to be that bad in a broader sense.

NY has been .5 per bottle but they are trying to raise it to .10 a bottle and now include fruit juices and Gatorades and wine bottles
