"1 COMPLIMENTARY GUEST IN DOUBLE OCCUPANCY"

I'm fairly new to this, so please excuse the ignorance. 🤗

It would seem that the "1 COMPLIMENTARY GUEST IN DOUBLE OCCUPANCY" offer code is redeemable for one cruise fare in a double occupancy cabin. The second occupant (guest) would pay the published rate for the other single fare.

I went back and read through the Casino Royale terms and conditions (via menu option on clubroyaleoffers page) and didn't see this mentioned, but perhaps I missed it. At any rate, my question is this:

If my wife redeems a "1 COMPLIMENTARY GUEST IN DOUBLE OCCUPANCY" offer code and I am the guest... AND I have a Royal Caribbean credit card with sufficient earned points for either cruise discount (individual or shared credit) or cruise vacations credit... may I use points reward to pay the fare?   -or-  Can neither the casino offer code or the credit card reward redemption be used in conjunction with one another?

Thanks for sharing your experience... I appreciate the help!

/c

It is my understanding that you cannot combine offers unless they are "like offers" when it comes to casino royale. A like offer is in the same condition as the offer, the adding of OBC or using the points from the Royal card is an offer within itself. So in this case it would be different offers.

However, YMMV because I was told with this offer you have to pay for the second guest (at the casino rate) or pay the solo occupancy fee when going solo. But someone also stated they went solo and just paid taxes and fees.

I do understand about combining offers and I know this particular code (1 COMPLIMENTARY GUEST IN DOUBLE OCCUPANCY) is for a single traveler... so if I redeem it and am sailing alone, I just pay taxes and port fees, but if I redeem it and am traveling with a +1, I pay taxes and port fees and the +1 pays full single fare.

What I'm trying to find out is if that +1 full fare can been "purchased" with a point redemption from my RCL credit card. In other words, does Royal see a point redemption bring used like they would combining with another offer or do they see it as a form of payment like cash, card, etc.

I know I can call and sit on hold to ask RCL, I just thought someone in the forum may know. No biggie.

I'm not a huge fan of the "1 COMPLIMENTARY GUEST IN DOUBLE OCCUPANCY" offers because I always travel with my wife. We just had one of these expire for Utopia that I really wanted to use, but wasn't willing to pay the full Utopia just-launched-shiney-new-rate for the second happy cruiser in the cabin. I realize I have enough points accumulated to have comped that second person with a point redemption, but it didn't occur to me until after the offer expired. I'm tryin' to plan ahead! 😝

These offers types are strange and not well documented with Club Royale.  I would just call the casino line and ask them directly.  Never hurts to ask.

I Called them on this offer and I was told since I am sailing solo, I would have to pay for the second person at the Casino rate.  for 5 nights on Mariner, it would be  578 all in, including taxes, fees port charges, and prepaid gratuities.

I mentioned that in my post. But that was my experience as well, which is why I don't partake in these offers. I once tried to apply a myVegas (OBC) to the person traveling with me on my casino comp and was told they won't combine offers. That is why I don't believe the OP will be able to pay with the BOA Royal card redemption.
