RCIfan1912 Posted December 28, 2023 Report Share Posted December 28, 2023 OK,very strange on 2 cruises I checked lately the "we pick your room" option was higher and higher by 200 plus than you pick your room. Anyone else find that extremely odd? Who is gonna pay extra for them to pick your room rather than yourself and why would that be? Just seemed so strange. There is history of what sails and what does not. It is also influenced by travel companies that reserve bulk rooms. I have seen lots of cruises where a Solo cabin is more expensive than picking a regular balcony and paying double. Sounds like certain categories were closer to sold out than the algorithm expected at this point. And even if the programmers noticed, I'm sure they'd consider it too much work to prevent such things from happening. Just means we have to pay attention to make sure we always get the best deal! Traveling Mike Posted December 30, 2023 Report Share Posted December 30, 2023 I just booked a 2025 cruse today that the GTY was only $100 cheaper than picking the obstructed balcony.
