Jim Gatenby
Hi Everyone I am booked on the Explorer of the Seas for Feb 18 out of Miami for 5 nights. I booked a GTY Balcony I'm not really worried about where we are( have to admit I'd like to get one of the balcony obstructed views at the very back of the ship). 1. It is myself and 2 children 8/10, will I get at least a balcony that sleeps 3 people? Or will there be a possibility I'll get a room set up for 2 people and have to figure it out? RCIfan1912
Royal Caribbean will only place you in a room that properly accommodates everyone. We did our first guaranteed balcony last month on Liberty OTS and it was excellent. Loved the location and room in general. Pleasantly surprised to say the least. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. Ryan79, PPPJJ-GCVAB, Jim Gatenby and 1 other 3

CrznTxn
After you check into your cruise at 45 days out be sure to look at your set sail pass if Royal has not informed you of your room location. The last 4 digits of the barcode on the pass are your room number so you can see where it is. We have two GTY cabins booked for next year. For us, who book casino cruises, the casino will comp $200 free play if you pick a GTY cabin. This is new and we do not care where we are on the ship as long as we are on it. I have never heard of this and we book casino cruises quite often. Please tell me more.

jbrinkm
My parents did a GTY for our cruise in March. First they had a GTY ocean view that was assigned really early (5 months). Then this past week, the price dropped substantially on the sailing and we were able to upgrade them to a GTY ocean view balcony. Which has also been assigned already (4 months before). We found out when I booked specialty dining on the app - their room number appeared next to their names. They got 6154 on Symphony of the Seas. We *might* ask our TA to see if they can get a room on our floor instead. WAAAYTOOO and RCIfan1912 1
