A question about Chankanaab Park at Cozumel

We are looking at excursions for Cozumel, Mexico on our August, 2023 cruise.  We both like the excursion to Chankanaab Park which includes a "Mexican Buffet."  We never eat or drink ashore in Mexico but I find it difficult to believe RCCL would sell excursions which weren't food and drink safe.  Just wondering if any of you have had experience with this excursion.

The food and beverage is probably safe but I've read several reports where people think the food is terrible and there will be a long line at the buffet. Chankanaab itself is awesome and very easy to do via taxi on your own if you want to opt out of the included food. There are other places to buy your own food inside the park that are better quality.

Food is ok but not much of a variety...it's rather small in fact.
