Israel Question

We are cruising out of Haifa Israel on the Rhapsody of the Seas in June.  We are staying the night in Israel when the cruise returns to Haifa.  My question is would it be better to stay that night in Haifa or Tel Aviv before flying out the next morning?  Haifa is much cheaper than Tel Aviv, but I was curious if there is enough there to do to stay busy, even if just for that one night.  Thank you in advance for any advice.

If your cruise leaves from Haifa, you'll want to stay in Haifa the night before.

Haifa is a big city (big being a relative term for Israel). I think you'll find enough to keep you busy for the day before.

If you're coming into Israel more than a day in advance, then it would make sense to stay and tour around Tel Aviv first, and then spend the night before the cruise in Haifa.

ItFirst it depends on when is your flight out at morning. Is it around 11 or earlier? And which day of the week. Travel time from Haifa to airport can take 70-80 minutes if using the train (you have direct train from Haifa to the airport and the airport station is located on the terminal) driving it can take up to two hours depends on traffic. From Tel Aviv the travel time to the airport is 15-18 minutes and up to 30-40 minutes with car (20 minutes in weekends).

You have enough things to do in Haifa for one day.

You can go to see the Bahai gardens https://ganbahai.org.il/ .

You can go to one of the many Haifa  beaches, You can do some shopping, you can walk in the German colony streets https://www.haifa.muni.il/place/the-german-colony/. You will also find lots of fish and other restaurants. There are also some museum to visit (including very nice Japanese museum) https://www.hms.org.il/eng/About_Haifa_Museums

Keep in mind Haifa is located on a hill so it might be harder to get from place to place walking.
