twangster Posted December 9, 2022 Report Share Posted December 9, 2022 Your oceanview would have netted you an extra point as a solo unless it was a studio ocean view. RoyalUp doesn't change the points earned. If the cabin you booked would have earned two points per night as a solo then you still get two points per night after a RoyalUp. If you had Royal up from a balcony to a Jr suite or above you would only get 2 pts a night as well. If you were to purchase a Jr suite you would get 3 pts per night. twangster Posted December 10, 2022 Report Share Posted December 10, 2022 The Royal Caribbean reservation system has two fields related to your cabin. One is called "Booked category" and the other, IIRC is called "Berthed category" meaning the cabin you sailed in. CAS always use the "booked' category to determine how many points are earned. "Berthed" category has no bearing on points so when your "Berthed' category changes upon winning a RoyalUp there is no change in points earned, even if you RoyalUp'ed to a Star Class suite from an interior/ocean view/balcony.
