mike2608
I am thinking of applying for the Norwegian cruise in July of 2024, but my concern is how long do I have before the deposit is no longer refundable

twangster
Unless you specifically request a refundable fare it will be a non-refundable deposit right from the start. Most suites are not available on a refundable basis. Junior Suites are usually available refundable if you request it, but the difference between non-refundable and refundable may be quite a bit in some cases. Longer Norwegian cruises have a $450 deposit (per person). Seven night cruises are still $250 per person deposit.
PL8SWPR
While it's not refundable unless you pay the $150 or so, the change fee is $100 per person IIRC. I always do non refundable. Odds are 0 that I'd have to outright cancel and extremely low I'd have to move it. Rather save the $150 per cruise knowing the change fee would amount to just $200 if something came up.
