R Turner
How many bottles of Tequila am I allowed to being back on board the ship after being in Mexico? I know they will keep it below deck, and I will not get it back util we get back to the mainland. But I wasn't sure how many I was allowed to bring back. smokeybandit
As many as you want. But you're only allowed 1 without declaring it at customs asquared17
wordell1
You get 1 liter for free per US Customs. After that you would be subject to a duty of $13.50 per gallon. There may also be state taxes due, depending on the port of entry.

I don’t believe that has any factor on if duty is due on return to the US. Buying in a duty free shop just avoids paying any taxes in the country where you buy the product. wordell1
