NEbluebird
How noisy would the balconies be at night over looking Central Park or the boardwalk?
FloatyBoaty
My personal choice would be Central Park. There will be some live music in the park in the early evening and bar/restaurant traffic throughout the day, but it is generally very peaceful there and I would not hesitate to book myself if ocean view were not available. Central Park is one of my (many) favorite places on the ship. The Boardwalk balconies, depending on how close to the back could have a great partial view of the ocean. The carousel noise would drive me bonkers, but that does not go late at night. There will be Aqua Shows 2x night a few nights, so if you want to get to sleep early that could be annoying. That said, I have not stayed in either - we had ocean view balconies both times. Linda R and NEbluebird 1
Jill
Central Park is pretty quiet and the music there is usually acoustic guitar or jazz. The bigger concern is being able to see across into other cabins. Keep your curtains closed when changing! NEbluebird

We gravitate toward Central Park balconies if the Ocean View balconies are a little too expensive. Central Park usually is the quieter of the two neighborhoods and is especially enjoyable in the evening. You often get a nice breeze that passes through the park (sometimes it can actually get a little windy). The landscape lighting is beautiful and the concerts (violinist, etc.) down in the park each evening are a nice touch. We sailed in an CP balcony back in 2019 on Allure... We didn't stay in a CP balcony on Oasis back in 2021, but just some more shots I took... Yes, during the day in either neighborhood you really sacrifice privacy while you sit out on your balcony since you can see the balconies across from yours. Also, the music from the pool deck (directly above Central Park) is loud enough to hear during the day (not that we spend much time in the cabin during the day). With that said, the activity up on the pool deck generally calms down as evening (and dinner!) approaches and should not be too much of a distraction in the evening. We booked a CP balcony on Wonder for our upcoming JAN 2023 sailing... a little concerned since there now is a huge movie screen one one end of Central Park up above the pool deck... our cabin is on the other side of Central Park so we'll see! Really bad decision on designers part JohnK6404 and Qeyton Dude
