shannonk
I think the real question is not what would it cost you to buy these same items on land, but what would it cost to get 4 Rum & Cokes on the ship - that will tell you if it is a deal or no deal. DunkelBierJay
I think you are comparing apples and oranges. It might be a good alternative to the cost of the drink package, and it also provides convenience and flexibility. You can't bring those items on board because it is RC's ship-board economy that they have a right to control. The question is whether or not people buy these options. Judging from the fact that they added two packages to the two that were already available, it looks like people are willing to pay. If you get rum and Cokes or something like that at a bar on the ship, you are saving a few bucks and time walking to/from the bar with this package. Matt
I know Michael Poole tried it and liked it a lot. It's good for having booze in the room that isn't wine.

I can't say I remember what a rum & coke costs off the menu...but even if they are $6.50 each x 7 is $45.50 plus the cans of coke. Sounds like a deal to me based on that. Gears
does anyone know if the gin and tonic purchase has regular size cans of tonic? they look small. The picture looks like regular 12oz cans (355ml for the metric folks).
