Avfrattner
I've noticed that on a lot of Australian sailings the deluxe drinks package are/is incurring a $143 AUD price point. That would be after conversion $103 USD!!!!!! Some are saying that that is an error but not sure. Thoughts??????
ChessE4
At some point skipping package saves $ you can use for cruises to get Diamond status.

Yes, it's looking like we just pay as we go at this point.
EmersonNZ
I am really hoping it is a mistake or filler as they get things back on to the site etc. The price I am seeing at the moment for our January sailing out of Sydney is nearly 115% more than I paid in Feb 2020. Yes, I agree. It is around that 100% increase mark compared with two sailings that I had in 2020 and in 2021. I think that if was around $90AUD per day I would buy it, but at $140ish.....tell'em ya dreaming! EmersonNZ
EmersonNZ
Just checked and the US$ price is $90USD. I was able to log in using US$ and it is listed as $90.
twangster
Drink packages are definitely higher compared to pre-shutdown here in the US. I also think they are estimating potential supplier increases into pricing future cruises. I think that's a safeguard because they don't know any more than any of us do what might happen over the next 6 - 24 months. For all we know liquor prices will be the next big thing that is impacted on land. Maybe I should stock up at home just in case CruisingOz, WAAAYTOOO and EmersonNZ 2
Andreas
I paid AU$66.72 on my Ovation cruise Feb 2019. Today they’re asking about AU$113! I can’t afford that. EmersonNZ

DX package prices have certainly gone up for Australian cruises. The current sailings which I have are priced at the "sale" price, which ends today are as follows in AUD; $112.98 Buy one get one 50% off, so for a 11 night NZ cruise it is a total of $2,485.56 for two. Roughly that is $78 USD per person per night. This pricing is similar on all our booked cruises for 2022/23. We are both D+, so five free drinks per day each and also Prime casino Royale, so can drink for free in the casino. We are, for the first time, not buying the drinks package and will pay as we go for anything over and above. Let's see if we will be better off? Interestingly, my transpacific in October, I can buy a package for only one person, and so I am temped at $1,669.75 AUD, so roughly $61 USD per day. This will allow my wife to use our 10 free drinks, but my wife would not drink that many, so again, what should I do? Many seas days, but also drink fatigue does set in on a long cruise and also we will be in a GS, so will also have happy hour in the suite lounge on this cruise. Oh, these first world problems are stressing me out; I need a cruise. WAAAYTOOO

Oh, these first world problems are stressing me out; I need a cruise. If we were sailing right now (which we aren't, obviously), I would be right there with you ! We have ALWAYS purchased both the UDP and the DBP but with the prices I am seeing, I would most definitely be skipping particularly the DBP and using my D+ vouchers and casino drinks. We have always purchased the drinks package for convenience (as opposed to saving money) but convenience isn't worth THESE prices !
