SpeedNoodles
Anyone know if there's an easy way to get to where the ship docks to downtown Hoonah (such as it is). I know it's approximately 2 miles, so it's not an impossible walk, but I don't know if there's a safe place to walk off of the road. There are no excursions left for my sailing at this point, so that's out.
twangster
Sidewalk beside the road. I suspect more excursions will be added and there is the excursion center that you walk through to get off the ship. I wouldn't be surprised if there were last minute somethings available. twangster
Here is picture just outside the port entrance on the way to the village taken from an excursion bus. Note the sidewalk (and the deer).

We enjoy walking around the towns visiting the grocery stores and talking to the locals. SpeedNoodles
