Please feel free to add to the list or let me know if I'm tipping too little/too much. Embarkation Day - Bus transfer to cruise ship- does anybody tip for this? - Private transportation to cruise ship- 15-20% of fare (sometimes included in total fee, so pay attention) - Porters- $2/bag On Board - Some people choose to tip extra with cash especially with drink package On Shore - Guided tours- we tip $10/person in our party assuming service was excellent - Cabs- We usually do a couple dollars to round it off to the next major denomination- what about you guys? Debarkation Day - Porters- I do a little bit more this time since they are with you all the way through customs, maybe $3-$4 per bag - Same with bus transfers or private transfers What am I missing? WAAAYTOOO Posted August 22, 2016 Report Share Posted August 22, 2016 Don't forget your concierge and/or genie if you are in a suite. ...and if you're a member of Club Royale and you expect to get a future cruise credit, you should probably be prepared to tip both the Casino Manager and the Casino host ! We like to give the state room attendant an upfront gratuity the first day after boarding. It is amazing the service you will receive. And tipping the bar tenders extra never goes unnoticed either. firegal2539 Posted August 22, 2016 Report Share Posted August 22, 2016 If you are flying to the port there is tipping at the airport for the person that takes your luggage arriving and departing. I just got back from a cruise and tipped almost $100, this included porters, waiters, taxi drivers, etc. I always tip the driver of the shuttle to the port and return, they handle your luggage, so $2 always seems like a good amount. I very seldom tip extra on the ship, but if you do a specialty meal, you have to tip the waiter. If I get amazing service from one particular person, I will tip extra. Same with the casino, host/hostess and manager. I just couldn't believe how much I spent on tips this last cruise, it was crazy. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
