orion619
Hi all, We'll be leaving for Cozumel on Brilliance in a few weeks and would like to know if cruise ship approved power strips were allowed on RC ships. This will be our first cruise on RC. Thanks and here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q81DLDM/?coliid=IQENZRY5YVTHS&colid=1J8ZPTPU1KC5Y&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Kathleen
I contacted Royal Caribbean via Twitter asking about a similar Amazon “cruise ship approved” power strip and was told they were NOT allowed. I do understand from others on this blog that multI USB plug strips are allowed. CruisingKitty
RWDW1204
I think that product is ok. They don't allow extension cord type power strips. But I'm sure you'll get many responses to your question and suggestions for other types to use.
Atlantix2000
There is no such thing as a cruise approved power strip. It's a marketing gimmick. Officially, only surge protectors are banned but the port employees (who do not work for Royal) have no interest in slowing down the boarding process to check whether or not your power strip is also a surge protector. So they confiscate everything. CruisingKitty, Gears and Baked Alaska
