Babs
Looking to reserve a dinner at Chops Grille. Is best to do that before cruise or wait to do once on board?

I would always suggest to pre-book anything you want before you cruise to ensure you get the time and place you want. There is no guarantee they will have a reservation available when you want. WAAAYTOOO
There are 3 reasons to book a specialty restaurant on the Cruise Planner before you cruise: 1. You can sometimes take advantage of a discount. This is not as common for a single meal as it is for the dinner packages but there are still sometimes "sales" on specialty restaurants. It's also true that they sometimes offer discounts on specialty dining once onboard...just to be fair. 2. When you pre-purchase the specialty meal, your gratuity is included in the price you pay online. If you purchase your meal on the ship, you will be paying 18% gratuity on TOP of the cost of the meal. 3. You get to choose the day and time that you want.
