It is a fantastic Mexican restaurant with the best fried ice cream and fajitas! And the price is decent. It’s also right next to Publix and Total Wine. The perfect pre-cruise dinner! We go to the one on 17th Street (Cordova road)

I highly recommend eating at La Bamba! But you all know that already lol

I would agree too that I like that new area of the ship. However, I don't like the Aqua Theatre there. I am interested to hear as time moves on, how people feel about having the theatre in that area. Aqua Nation is fantastic though. It might be my new favourite Aqua Theatre show.

@WAAAYTOOO and @asquared17, I am really looking forward to seeing the complete Aqua80 show. The last time we sailed OA (March 2022), it was cancelled so many times and they only showed part of the production, it was a mess. But I remember they had some really good songs. However, Aqua Nation (Icon) might take the prize for the best musical arrangement for us. It will be interesting to compare.

Overall, while I would be just as happy on any Oasis class ship, Icon is a beauty, and it is not lost on us how fortunate we feel to have the opportunity to sail on the maiden voyage. Not sure when we will sail her again, but we will. And it’s bye for now. Time to get ready to “Go Big…or Go Home.”

They reached to us on Sunday morning, for a Saturday sailing. Some others on the sailing received their welcome email Saturday evening, some Monday morning. This was for the inaugural sailing.

Lately, I've been asking them for a receipt when I redeem my vouchers so that I can tip them. I have noticed too that they are hit and miss with giving one. Me too! total germaphobe here lol

Yes, water bottles too. Umm…I originally booked the Surfside Family suite and was trying so hard to get myself out of it! Thank goodness I won the Royal Up! I have zero desire to sail in that suite, and that was before I saw it. I got a glimpse of it twice in person last week. It was surprisingly smaller than what it appears to be in all the pics and videos. The room is very short (from entrance door to the wall where the sofa bed is). And that sofa bed is small! It will not really fit older kids. Maybe small children, but pics from others on the sailing, with the bed open, and their teens on it, did not look comfortable at all! The teens cannot even fully extend their legs. I would caution anyone to think clearly before booking that room.

Thank you! This is why I asked @asquared17 to check. I am thinking we will make this our embarkation day lunch. We have done Playmakers a few times now on embarkation day, thinking of switching it up.

This is how I feel how I feel about this property as well. We have stayed here so many times over the years, but they have jumped their price considerably, and for what they offer, I would rather spend that money elsewhere. That is one of the reasons we picked the Hilton in December when we sailed Odyssey. And definitely agree about that older part of the hotel, no thank you. And the amount of luggage! Omg lol

Is that an official thing by Royal? That Diamond drink vouchers can be shared? I only ask because I have never thought to share mine (since we all have 5), but just a few days ago on Icon, I watched as one person told the bar staff they were using their D voucher for their friend's drink and the bar staff did not seem to care one bit. Then, this thread got me thinking because I do have a sailing next year with part of my group not in Star, but I will be in Star. So if I am not breaking any rules by sharing my D+ vouchers with them, that would be fantastic.

@asquared17 can you do me a favour and see if Portside BBQ is open for lunch today? In my app, it says it does not open until 5pm on embarkation day, but I suspect that is wrong.
