Is there a Sabor on the Serenade?
-
Been wanting to try room service, just never get around to it. I'd rather go someplace...
Yeah, but it's so nice to have coffee and a couple of croissants delivered first thing in the morning and enjoy them on your balcony in your pj's and then go someplace else. Especially on cruise days and you sleep au naturel!

You will receive tickets that will be waiting in your stateroom. The tickets will indicate where and when to meet. In most cases, you disembark the ship and there will be an area near the gangway where tours are meeting. Look for a crew member holding a sign with the name of your excursion.
Don't be late! Delaying an excursion will not win you any friends.

Charlotte Amalie - ST Thomas has some great jewelry shops and you can haggle the prices. If there is only one cruise ship (the one you're on) you can get some really good deals. However, if the port is full of ships, not so much.

Can't find any RCL diving excursions from PR - does anyone have any recommendations?
Two for you. Try this link:http://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/. Just plug in all your cruise info, dates, etc and hit search. Also try Googling "scuba diving in Puerto Rico", there are a lot of dive operators in/near San Juan.

I tend to agree
Yeah, what he said.....true that.

I always wear a pair of summer dress slacks and sport jacket with a button down short sleeve shirt with tie. I usually bring two pair of pants and shirts that will go with one sport jacket. I've seen less to include shorts and more to include suits and tuxedos. I usually snear at the guys in shorts, especially after I've had lots of wine!

Our first cruise was on the Navigator back in 2006 out of Miami. Yes there was a lot of country music then ......Caribbean Country to include a steel drum band by the pool in the afternoon on cruise days. I can still remember "Hot, hot hot...."

I prefer to call directly or go through my travel agent. I feel I get much better service than trying to book something on line.

Seems like this topic is getting into a "tip for tat" scenario.

Falmouth is only good for shopping, if you stay within the fenced area. As DocLC mentioned above, there are a lot more things to do in Cozumel, and it is a lot safer!

Do they give you a hard time if you try to adjust your gratuities during the cruise at the service desk
The only "hard part" I see about this would be wasting my cruise time standing in the guest relations waiting line.

Does margaritaville falmouth have cheap massages
Well, it all depends on what you consider "cheap". Having never had an on ship nor off ship massage, I think one gets into the consideration of professional training, standards and hygiene.

Free wifi also at the Falmouth MVille. The Falmouth "compound" has great shopping opportunities. I strongly would not venturing outside of the gate into Falmouth proper. I did and turned right back around for the compound. Very aggressive street vendors and beggars, not the safest looking place either, in my opinion.

How far from port.? Cost ?.activities.? Age appropriate group from 3 to mid 60's? Can you walk or need taxi and do you need an excursion or just go on own. Massages available?
What port?

^ This is true. Way too much motion to get a good picture.
If not though you can get good pics at about 30 seconds exposure if it is a dark location. Anything longer and you start getting the star trails.
This is 30 second at F4 in the Tennessee boondocks.
BTW I am taking the same cruise leaving on the 20th of this month. If you need any specific information just ask and I'll try to accommodate. I will bring back the Compasses and scan for Matt to put on the site.
Great photo! Last time I checked, the only thing Tennessee was rocking from was the moonshine and not from the wind on a moving ship ;) ;)

The BLT Bloody Mary is fantastic! Great way to get your vitamins, minerals and alcohol in one drink. Now, if they can come up with something that incorporates kale......

I have found that it can be noisy if you're on the "docking" side of the ship when it comes in to port late at night/early morning.

I believe you are talking about the RC site and you are not senile (yet). RC used to have reviews but removed the feature a few months ago.
Thanks for you vote of confidence! Wonder why they removed that feature? I use to use it when determining if an excursion was worth the money, perhaps that's why?

In the past, cruisers have posted comments/reviews under the excursions offered for an upcoming cruise which they have been on. Not so any more, which I find interesting. Now I can understand this if it is a brand new excursion that RC has never offered before. We are booked on the Serenade March 6 and the excursions they offer are not new and no reviews/comments. They are the same ones that were offered in 2011 when we were on the Serenade. Anyone else notice this? Or am I looking in the wrong place? I'm an old guy, but not senile.....yet.

Formal nights are typically on days when the ship is cruising, with the exception of the last cruise day back into port.

I received some promos when I booked my cruise on Allure such as free spa treatment, specialty dinner, family time at the rock wall, etc. Do those need to be booked in advance or do I take care of it one I arrive? Does anyone know the restrictions on the free spa treatments and specialty dinner options?
I would get back with the folks you booked through and ask them. After all, they are the ones that "gave" you the promos.

My favorite moment?
When Tyna and I were on the side of the pool watching the belly-flop contest only to realize, we were in direct site of the camera..... what we didn't realize is that every time the music would start up, I'm doing the "Night At The Roxbury" move while sitting there, and of course, with many of the reruns on the TV, I got to see it over and over again......
It was embarrassingly funny because after that moment, Tyna would never let me live it down....
The other is, that moment of zen when lounging on the pool deck and realizing that you have absolutely NOTHING to worry about - this can only be achieved on a cruise.
So THAT was you! Smooth moves my man, smooth moves.

So RCI has had the 30% off each guest with on board credit and reduced deposit on their website for well over a week. I wonder when this is going to end and they post something better (hopefully) new to entice us?
