Do people use the pools a lot on cool weather cruises? Pictures that I've seen never really show a lot of people using the pools, even the indoor ones on cool weather cruises. Will be on Serenade, the first week of Oct.
We used the Solarium pool a few times on Serenade in Oct. We went for a late night swim, but it was super weird because it was only me and my wife... aaand the security guy who followed us around, I guess to make sure the birds and bees didn't get away or something.

Had an issue in Portland, Maine bringing some leftover chicken strips and a whoopie pie (in sealed packaging) back onboard, so we sat there in front of the security officer and ate it all.

I concur with JLMoran, I think Freedom class would be good, and possibly Voyager class if there's a Flow Rider on board.

We've stopped in twice, never ended up actually booking, but we did as you mentioned, just walk by to see how busy they are. We caught them during a lull in "clients", so we were in and out, no line to wait in.

As someone who doesn't drink wine it won't bother me, but I think they should've kept the fee away. Wasn't it $25 before? $15 is better if that was case.

We went in Oct, and being from Florida it was quite cold. I wore pants the whole time (I hate wearing pants, I'm a shorts and flip flops guy). At the same time, I loved the weather, great change from the heat and humidity.

Not sure about shipping things home from the ship, but you might be able set up a pick up with UPS. They could pick it up from the hotel you end up choosing (it would have to be packed and labeled/already paid for. The drivers don't carry shipping supplies or payment options).

My guess is because the RCI website is so terrible (it needs to wear a mood ring so we know how it's feeling at any particular moment). I would suggest trying again (and again), calling, or having your TA do it.

They both have rock climbing walls...So I'll take either.

Speaking of the in-line track, I'm waiting for RC to start adding 90's parties onboard, along with the 70's and 80's (or instead of).

No help for me. But, thank you Matt for sharing!

There aren't any irons. Don't pack anything that needs to be ironed. Nobody cares.
True that.

Just FYI, I called and tried to move my booking to a TA and was told that in order to move my cruise it has to be within 60 days of when I booked the cruise and it can't be paid in full. I booked my cruise in January so I was unable to move it even though my cruise isn't until December.
I did the same thing. My agent told me she gets more perks/pay/etc if she does the entire booking, versus a transfer. So, since we couldn't do the transfer anyway, she just started over for me, and I cancelled my original. Now, I ended up paying a little more for the one she booked, but it wasn't enough to make me not want to do it. She was stoked for the business (she's new to being a TA) and gave me the same OBC that RC was offering so I'm happy she can deal with everything now.

By the way, this thread topic will be the name of my punk cruise rock band's first album, "Power Strips and beverages".
Laughing pretty hard right now. My friends and I spent more time coming up with band, song, and album names than actually writing songs. Needless to say I never quit my day job.

Should be seeing lifeguards fleet wide very soon apparently. It was mentioned a month or two ago as a new SOP.

How about the parking at Port Canaveral? Do you just follow directions to the port and follow signs to the parking? Is the parting right at the dock? Cost? Best location to park in the lots? If you use a hotel shuttle where do you pick them up?
Terminal 1 has parking right there. Follow the signs. 5-10min to the front door once parked. Not sure the cost.

Whoa, so they (RC) can just sell your room from under you like that? Is there a place to check and see if your scheduled trips have large groups on board? Hope things work out for you.
I just googled something along the lines of "chartered cruises for 2018" to make sure my booking was not chartered. I was surprised how many charters there are. Mine was in the clear last time I checked.

The good thing is ... now you know. And knowing is half the battle.

Hmm...I'm on the low end then. I don't think we've tipped more than $5. I think we gave $10 to the tip jar once for the 3 guides to split.

My only guess for the vagueness of the program is the less info they give, the fewer people they have to give discounts to. If people knew the minimum amount to gamble to be in the club and get discounts then they'd only gamble that amount and call it a night. Who knows.
Does that make any sense? It made sense in my head, but I've only had half my coffee this morning.

My in-laws did this on Majesty, interior room. 2 female adults shared the bed, then my 9 & 10yo nephews used the pullman's...they hated it. BUT, I know some people have no issues being that cramped.
