  1. I have had similar issues when my parents forgot their login information. They are not particularly tech savvy, and it took several phone calls to C&A and several attempts to rest the password. If it becomes a hastle, if you wife hasn't set up a my cruise account yet, start from scratch with her email, then search and add your reservation number to manage it from there. Then when yours gets straightened out you can both access it.
  2. Doc is correct. RC's price integrity program mandates that everyone sell their cruises at the same price. That being said, many of the larger online booking outlets have the ability to provide substantial booking incentives above what the cruise line offers such as OBC, free gratuities, etc. Of course, for what you get in monitory incentives, you may give up in service.
  3. 11:00 am flight is where I am comcortable. We self disembarked in November from allure and walked out of our cabin door at 6:45am. My feet were propped on my luggage at our gate in the airport by 7:39. Everything went perfectly but I never count on perfectly.
  4. I check royal's site once a week or so. Mostly because it gives me a reason to :)
  5. Thus was my reply to a similar thread http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php/topic/2584-cash-on-board/ This is what I generally spend in cash once we leave our pre-cruise hotel. I welcome comments; cheapskate, reasonable or overboard? Porters at the pier $2.50/bag ×4 bags twice = $20 Excursion guide $5.00/person × 3excursions = $30 Excursion bus driver $2.50/person × 3excursions = $15 Cab driver to and from pier $2.50/bag ×4 bags twice = $10 Cab driver at port of call $5.00 × ? To and from = $10 Room service $5.00 twice per cruise = $10 Extra for room attendant assuming fabulous friendly service $20 Total $115 Casino $yikes
  6. Voom, smartphone, Bluetooth speaker. Or do what I do and sit out on the balcony and listen to the sea against the ship. That is music to these ears.
  7. If you go to your cruise planner, the very top right corner is "order history" which does show details of what you have purchased.
  8. We were just in a hump JS on Allure and the balcony was notably deeper. Suprisingly I did not get a good photo, but here is a shot from our balcony, and the "hump" is all additional balcony space which made it deep enough to have a full lounger ( layer out) perpendicular to the ship
  9. The only argument that has ever made any sense to me for reducing standard gratuities is for those who eat in specialty restaurants every night of the cruise, however even at that, these same crew members serve us in the windjammer and other areas for lunch and breakfast. I agree with Billy, no reason to adjust the income of a crew member.
  10. As has been mentioned, it is a bit of a crap shoot. We sailed Adventure in April 2015 o the same itinerary with the exception that we went to st Croix instead of St Kitts. Our balcony was on the port side and we were facing away from the island everywhere except st. Lucia where you can see the island from both sides of the ship.
  11. A real & traditional out door promenade on which you don't get run over by joggers. But since that wasn't your question, & since I've never been on Q-class, I will go with Central park (we loved it on allure in November ) North Star (never been but yawn on the zip line) Matt says Wonderland so I go with Giovani'Giovani's table.
  12. I agree with Matt. We were recently on Allure & I found the included food options to be fair to good (leaning towards good). We particularly enjoyed breakfast at Johnny Rockets. Wipe out cafe and the main dining room also had good breakfasts, both of which do cook to order omelets. Because we enjoy the "tradition" of traditional dining in the MDR, we only choose to eat dinner in a specialty restaurant once per cruise.
  13. We really enjoyed Lago Mar. Not the most convenient in regards to access to port or local restaurants, but a fantastic hotel stay!
  14. First clue is always salt and pepper shakers on tables in the windjammer. If they disappear there are a handful of confirmed cases.
  15. We will do the "80s cruise" one of these years! :) the organizer recently switched from HAL to Celebrity.
  16. Adventure has benn our favorite so far. We absolutely loved Allure this past November, but the sensation of being aboard a ship is still important to me and that starts to get lost on O-Class. Our next 3 cruises are on Freedom (x2) and Navigator. We will see if my opinion changes?
  17. We try and sail in early April and late October/early November. I use the current offerings as a guide to know which itinerary and ship I want to try to book. I wait VERY IMPATIENTLY for the new itineraries to be released (feb-april) and book both cruises the day they are opened (18 to 24 months out). We usually make 3 large payments while leaving $100 to pay when final payment is due. I am already figuring out what we will try and book for fall 2018, spring 2019 and anxiously awaiting the the deployment announcements!.
  18. Wow, spring break makes a huge difference! Random day of March 18th was $365 for the same room we paid $195 in October. Oddly embassy suites is $335 for the same date which is any higher than their normal rate.
  19. How many nights prior to the cruise will you be staying? odd question , I know, but if you are staying multiple nights I HIGHLY recommend Lago Mar! it is a beautiful resort on the beach. it has a nice pool, out door play area, life size chess board, soda shop, restaurant, large private beach area, and it's two properties down from the entrance to pier so you can walk down and watch the ships sail out on Saturday. the staff is fantastic & the price for a room with 2 doubles was less than I am paying at embassy suites this coming april. the only down side is that it not convenient to local restaurants and stores so we had to uber a lot if we needed to get something from the grocery or wanted to eat somewhere other than the on site restaurant (which was great by the way).
  20. I won $1100 in seven nights playing craps on Adventure & I lost $800 on Allure playing craps. No better & no worse than in Vegas!
  21. It is a good problem to have when you have to decide what to pre-purchase and what to use OBC for, and occasionally we have have to make a decision to pay more for something on board. Fortunately the classic soda package never goes on sale so we can always count on $189 to $213 for gratuities and $120 for our two soda packages which usually leaves us enough to buy a few coffees or something from the gift shop. Other than that we try and pre-purchase internet, specialty restaurants, and excursions.
  22. I don't know how much OBC you have but keep in mind that gratuities will be $189 which usually eats up a large portion of most people's OBC
  23. I have no basis or knowledge for saying this, but I would personally be stunned if this happened again.
  24. Once you are checked in you will proceed up the escalator the suite embarkation waiting area will be towards your left (as you are walking) it is well marked for sea class suites. And there are plenty of helpers to point you in the right direction.
  25. I snapped some photos of it and sent it to my TA. I suspect I Wil get the same answer you did, but as WAAYTOO iterated, can't hurt to ask
