I booked shoretrips.com for a Cozumel trip and had a private guide.  We did the ruins, Tequilla factory, drove the whole island and then he took us to a place the locals eat at for lunch, loved it.   I have also used them for Zip Lining in Roatan which was fabulous and the kids got 12 lines to Zip on Top of their mountain
Then again we did a beach day, snorkeling excursion in Belize - only about 10 people which was also great - they have been around awhile and are very reputable.  Hope this helps.

Other things - Hairspray by far is the best Musical or show I've seen on
a ship I think - I do love the musical in general so that helps but the actors are great and
we really liked it- since this was a 2 night sailing it was first come/first serve and
we easily got seats 30 minutes ahead of time.   Also played Bingo, do it a little Casino
and saw the Aqua Theatre show too.  All good things to do while onboard.

Izumi
  I had not tried this for awhile so decided to go back - very popular so glad
  we booked early - Some people will be surprised no matter how many times you
  tell them there are fees to eat here - not like chop's where they charge $25 per
  person to dine, but a la carte pricing for each item you order.  but we thought it
  was well worth it - I had the Hot Rock Skewers.  This is a SUPER hot rock that
  allows you to cook your food yourself and then eat it - kind of fun - we also
  shared Sashimi, firecracker rolls, surf and turf rolls and had edaname and miso soup
  for 4 people we spent $79 which included two drinks.  so if we had gone to Chop's
  or Portofino's cost would have been the same.  Definitely would go back

2 decks below Central Park, really great.

Would have made my life much easier with little one's
Wipes, changing station, diaper genie, all in one place

Ok, this is a silly request, but you asked... We were in cabin 7666, and in the central hallway area between that room and the elevators was a photo from the 1950s of a lady wearing a red dress walking in a cornfield.  I believe it is on that floor, or on Deck 6 or 8 directly above or below (we either had to go up or down to go to the other side of the ship).  I passed by it a number of times but never took a photo of it; if you happen to walk by there could you take a photo of it and a close up photo of the description for me? Thank you.

Not likely it will be announced RCI is good about not disrupting people late at night
with announcements but I bet if you go to the Guest Services they may have
an idea of when you will pass the bridge or can find out

that is quite a difference - if you can screen shot it sometimes they will
help you out but they still know that within the same time frame someone
else can book the same cruise and it jumps the pricing
Bummer  calling into C & A can give you deals though too and discounts

We are really not happy that this offer is only open to USA and Canadian residents.
The prices in Europe are very expensive and we have high air costs when travelling to the States.
 
We just tried to book Allure for May 2015 sailing from Barcelona, from a USA online cruise company, and were told that our price would be higher than advertised as we were outside the US and Canada.
 
But, we still love cruising  :mellow:

It WOULD be nice to win the free cruise :D . That's probably the only way we'd get to go again until sometime in 2016.

As long as it's not manufactured in Cuba, or illegal (as absinth was for a long time), yes.  
 
I'd suggest buying something local, something you can't get at home.  You help out the local folks that way, and you also get something that will remind you of your cruise with every sip back at home.  
 
The only exception is - pick up something distilled in an "insular United States Territory" - i.e., the US Virgin Islands.  If you purchase one liter of product from there, you're allowed another 4 from anyplace else duty free.  I used to pick up 5 liters on each cruise, until it became a hassle to get it home. 

I've been watching any youtube videos I can5n find about our ship as well as browsing the cruisemate app.

You can bring, in a carry on bag, one bottle of wine per adult.  and drink in your cabin etc, if you bring it to dinner they can charge you a corkage fee
 
tips:  the compass is your friend on the ship like Matt said, tour the ship on embarkation day - and look at spa options that day if you like them - they often have the best spa offers embarkation date - Right on lunch (they also only have certain foods this day in Windjammer, they don't have other days)   - room service is great for snacks while relaxing in the afternoon - order breakfast in your room etc - get to know your room steward -have fun

The beach club ideas are a good option - plenty of time usually to walk around downtown and then back
on the ship -- snorkeling is good here and we have gone over to Playa del Carmen as well which I really like

We head out on Navigator in 19 days with the itenerary that includes George Town. Given that's a tendered ride and our desire to not have to rush to beat the crowd, oh and the gorgeous pics of beaches :D , that's our guaranteed beach day. I'll try and post afterwards. I've narrowed it down to any of the 7 mile beach 'sections' for ease of access. Hopefully we find one that has food, drinks and beach umbrellas. Sorry I cant help yet, but hopefully I can give you a firsthand answer soon.
