  1. I live in Mexico, and I totally understand when tourist feels uneasy or insecure coming here after seeing terrible news like this. However (and not trying to play down this tragedy) the recent reports suggest that this was a confrontation between criminal groups. As others have pointed, criminal groups rarely targets tourist. However, recently just before a FOS cruise on Miami on spring break, my wife and I where eating in South Beach when we were caught in the middle of what looked like a gang fight with guns involved, luckily no shots were fired but this happened right next to us, obviously I would feel uneasy coming back to SB any time soon. So I could understand If someone would prefer staying on the ship when visiting a Mexican port of call.
  2. Showing so little knowledge about Royal Caribbean, I would change TA ASAP
  3. This sounds exactly like a chartered cruise, you should address your complaints to the company who chartered the ship, not Royal.
  4. I was bitting my tongue to not address this kind of comments but couldn't do it. Calling Costa Maya a slums and a Junk port seems harsh and uninformed. The dock could be called "Costa Maya" but really is the town of Mahahual what you're visiting when you're there. It's a shame you didn't gave yourself the chance to know the place.
  5. Is it safe? Because I'm on the sailing just before yours (July 10-14) and will be there with a rental car... How early do you have to park to get a spot? Does it get full?
  6. this is allowed, but I'm not sure if is really cheaper that just ordering a cocktail...
  7. Exactly, it depends on the ship, the bartender and the the alignment of the stars. I guess that a good tip can make the difference.
  8. Avoid buying a ticket for a regional train, from Roma Termini to Civitavecchia the price for a regional train ticket is €5 (about 1h15m), an Intercity train costs €11 (48m), and a Freccia Bianca train costs €15 (42m). Always choose either one of the last two. But if someone in your travel party has mobility problems I would book a private transfer from Rome instead, because the train option includes several flights of stairs carrying your luggage depending on the platform you arrive/departure. Then you have to transfer to a Bus Shuttle to take you to the port. Walking distance is about 1.6 miles or about 30 minutes walking.
  9. They sometimes have a cooler with drinks right before the gangway and you can take them unopened off the ship so its doable.
  10. This is disturbing, I can't imagine how they came to think that storing the body in a cooler was appropriate. Speechless.
  11. Kim_swim just registered to make this his/her only one post...
  12. If you don't like the location, once you're assigned you can call an asked to be moved. I'll try one deck down to avoid the noise, specially from the CK.
  13. In Quantum Class and Oasis Class ships is a good deal if it's the same price as internet packages, because all the "private" time for activities you will get. In Odyssey I got to ride the Bumper cars about 4 times once after another on a sea Day. Try to do this without the Key and it's impossible.
  14. What about adding "The Blaster" of Navigator OTS to other ships?
  15. Yes, I only receive my invoices if I call and ask for them. Otherwise they are sent once the cruise has ended... weird.
  16. Totally agree with other comments, what a waste of space. How long took Mariner Dry Dock? Wondering because I've reserved the TA on Adventure OTS just after its 2024 scheduled Dry Dock and hearing that the first sailing of Mariner after Dry Dock got cancelled because of delays makes me a little worried.
  17. Other option is that RC will be having more itineraries with either Nassau or PDCC but not both.
  18. This! Some of the cabbies will try to charge per person if you let them. Don't! Ask them if the price is for everyone before you get on. They should charge the same for 1 to 4 persons. There should be a sign with the prices displayed as you can see in the pic @Pooch shared.
  19. Well, not the majority but It will affect some cruisers, like me. I don't live in the US so to me all the new legal terms will be different in some way , I just can't figure out how because my residence country isn't listed .
  20. The most interesting thing is this: "The Cruise Ticket Contract or Booking Conditions applicable to your cruise purchase are now determined by your Primary Country of Residence" So, different rules depending on where you live.
  21. I've received this notification too but can't figure out the changes they made.
  22. Royal Beach Club will be in Paradise Island, in Nassau, not in PDCC
  23. As far as I can remember the only "perk" I've used since becoming Platinum and then Emerald are the Bath Robes, and the only perk that seems to be interesting to me once becoming Diamond are the drinks vouchers.
