The shops/bars/beach will be open to you even though it's owned by Carnival. Just note that while there are free beach chairs, they're set back from the beach (you'll see them behind some ropes from your view from the ship when you dock). Beach access itself is free.

 

I wonder will the drink package carry-over to the Carnival owned establishments…

I don’t think PR had too much of a role - the insurance companies have the most weight in these situations.

The situation isn’t going to be solved anytime soon. Since the Haiti is somewhat dependent on the cruise company RCLL payments - call off stops indefinitely to get them moving towards peace?

And then give us who are cruising a solid plan. If the stops change order or something like that, it could impact excursions booked outside the cruise line. We have one booked for another port and I have seen RCLL switch port days. 

We are skipping formal night in the MDR because we don’t want to dress up in formal attire. 
 

Don’t really want to, but don’t want to offend. Is this the right solution? I don’t want stares because we aren’t dressed to the nines…

I don’t even know if khakis and a polo would be it. More like long shorts and a Tommy Bahama shirt and a sundress for me. Again just how we vacation. 
 

And for those who like to dress up - I like to people watch and admire!

And maybe I don’t mind having staircase photos in my resort casual attire.  Because that’s how we roll!

Here’s to hoping the situation in Labadee calms down!  I am looking forward to it. 

We booked the Snorkel Safari - I think it’s just a Catamaran instead of the speedboat. 
 

That could be an option depending on what the doctor has to say. 
 

Congrats on the upcoming addition!

We have excursions booked for Puerto Plata to discover the waterfalls. Think we are going to try jet skiing in Labadee. We rented a beach bed in Coco Cay. Our kids are older (22 & 24) so just us flying solo. We got the drink package too. A spa treatment in there. Trying lunch at Chops one day.

Valentines savings are out there. I just cancelled and rebooked most of our excursions at a lower price. Wouldn’t normally spend/do as much but it’s 25 years. 
 

Getting so excited for our first cruise. Bought my husband some cool swim trunks on sale.

We have one rented at Coco Cay for our upcoming Cruise in June. I hope there aren’t any issues.
